Director Zack Snyder’s upcoming animated appearance on Teen Titans Go! raises questions. After all, isn’t Warner Bros. Discovery supposed to despise him?

Even former potential DC Films candidate Dan Lin had to duck for cover for a silly joke. Lin referred to SnyderVerse fans as “Autobots.” That provided pages of rage bait for the anti-SnyderVerse crowd.

However, the narrative becomes increasingly clear.

On June 16, 2021, I scooped that Warner Bros. Discovery planned to restore the SnyderVerse. In that same article, I revealed WBD CEO David Zaslav would remove executives Ann Sarnoff, Toby Emmerich, and Walter Hamada. Sarnoff and Emmerich are now ghosts of the past.

Hamada bolts for the exits in October.

In addition, actors from the SnyderVerse begin their trek home. YouTube star Syl Abdul leaked that Ben Affleck’s Batman appears in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Aquaman star Jason Momoa proved him right. Furthermore, rumors that Henry Cavill’s Superman soars through Black Adam heat up.

We started the fire on April 11, 2021. At the time, naysayers wrote off Cavill’s Superman future.

Moreover, Warner Bros. Discovery used Snyder Cut footage in the Shazam! Fury of the Gods trailer.

When Abdul revealed that Zaslav will pursue SnyderVerse continuity in the DCEU, evidence backed up his claims. For example, Zaslav shelved Batgirl. Hamada intended for Batgirl to push his post-SnyderVerse reboot. The same with Sasha Calle’s Supergirl. Hamada’s leaving with his Flashpoint Timeline in the trash.

Now Zack Snyder is a cartoon on Teen Titans Go! for a September 16th airing, apparently. The show pays homage to him. As a matter of fact, Snyder voices himself. Obviously, Warner Bros. Discovery had to approve this in the end.

But how did this come about?

Director Peter Michail revealed how they got Zack Snyder to cameo in the episode. It turns out that the Justice League director is a fan of the show.

Fans always eagerly anticipate cameos in an animated show such as Teen Titans Go! on the Cartoon Network. Ever since April 2013, the series has shed light to many DC characters. A whole generation or two of fans have grown up watching the episodes. In the past, the show has showcased many cameos from different DC heroes and villains.

One of the most noted cameos is from the real-life father of Teen Titans Go! creator Michael Jelenic. Before Jelenic passed away, he was able to appear in the show for about six appearances in three seasons. So far, it will be Snyder who will appear in the series as a non-comic book character after Jelenic.

It’s undeniable how influential Snyder is to DC. From Man of Steel to Zack Snyder’s Justice League, he even has his own fandom pushing to further his DC story as we speak. Thus, this cameo in Teen Titans Go! is testimony to Snyder’s place in the DC narrative.

Peter Michail shares how they landed Snyder:

We reached out and pitched him the idea. He loved it and was actually a fan…It was surprisingly very easy. It was, and he was great!

Having Snyder in the series is a cherished experience for Michail’s team. He continued:

It was an incredible experience, and we’re honored to have him as a part of the Teen Titans Go! world, for sure.

The DCEU will always be related to the Snyderverse. Snyder had his vision of the Justice League and it was already in place. However, due to a family tragedy, he had to relinquish the helm to another director, Joss Whedon. The movie that premiered in theaters in 2017 was far different from his vision.

Thus, fans fervently pushed for the release of his version via #ReleaseTheSnyderCut on all social-media platforms. Fast forward to 2020, Warner Bros. relented and announced The Snyder Cut will be in HBO Max in 2021. Upon its release, it more than satisfied the viewers. The Snyder Cut was truly incomparable to that of the 2017 edition.

ZSJL offered a whole picture for the DCEU. Nevertheless, even years after, fans are still rooting for follow-up projects from the director.

Stay tuned.
