Daredevil Punisher Kingpin MCU Series

Charlie Cox‘ Daredevil and Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher will face Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin in an upcoming MCU series.

The show?

Sources reveal it’s the Daredevil reboot.

In other words, the new Daredevil series digs deeper into Frank Miller’s ’80s comics run.

Development continues for Daredevil.

Although sources claim it’s for Hulu, that could change.

However, not in the way you might think.

There are three choices for Disney.

First of all, there is an adults-only option that Disney is considering.

On November 26, 2021, I reported that Disney is thinking about bringing Star to the U.S.

Star is a mature content hub available on Disney Plus outside America.

Insiders add that they originally discussed Daredevil for Disney Plus.

However, Disney Plus couldn’t stream Netflix’ earlier Daredevil.

They’d separate the two.

In other words, Hulu would nab the older MA-rated Daredevil.

On the other hand, the latest Daredevil will be on Disney Plus.

Additionally, it’ll be toned down.

But I’m told that Disney is still considering that.

As of this time, they haven’t made a decision yet.

Nevertheless, that might change quick as Netflix loses its rights on March 1.

With Star, they’d have both versions on the same platform.

Moreover, Daredevil would be as violent as ever.

Although Moon Knight will push the boundaries of PG-13, that doesn’t solve the issue of the earlier Daredevil program.

That Netflix production was clearly R-rated.

Secondly, Disney could toss them both onto Hulu.

However, Disney prefers them all in the same place.

After all, Charlie Cox will appear on Disney Plus’ Echo and She-Hulk shows.

Viewers would need Hulu to watch his own series.

Undoubtedly, it sounds messy and confusing.

In any event, the Punisher doesn’t work on Disney Plus.

Although he’d be just a guest on Daredevil’s show, he’ll still be watered down.

Nevertheless, Disney has their IPs back.

Charlie Cox returned as Daredevil in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Even though he didn’t wear his costume, he was lawyer Matt Murdock again.

Marvel Studios has a cinematic future carved for Charlie Cox. There have been talks of including him in the Spider-Man franchise.

Likewise, Marvel Studios seeks Jon Bernthal as the Punisher.

That’s no surprise.

Jon Bernthal’s the Punisher was iconic.

Indeed, Jon Bernthal had a dynamic with Charlie Cox on Daredevil that echoed Miller’s comic books.

Jon Bernthal and Charlie Cox were electrifying.

Vincent D’Onofrio made his MCU debut as the Kingpin in Hawkeye.

Marvel Studios’ goal is to make these three actors pump the dark heart of Daredevil.
