Vincent D’Onofrio's Kingpin Makes MCU Debut In Hawkeye

Vincent D’Onofrio returned as the Kingpin in the MCU on Hawkeye.

At this point, it’s not a spoiler.

After all, on December 9, I revealed the Kingpin debuts in this episode.

Then again, D’Onofrio hasn’t been secretive.

He did tease it.

However, D’Onofrio was less open on September 15, 2019 when I scooped his MCU comeback.

He tweeted:

I’m not gonna trust it.

Sorry, but the scoop is confirmed.

Despite him throwing shade, I found his response hilarious.

I actually imagined him saying it in his Kingpin voice.

To be fair, I doubt Vincent D’Onofrio knew Marvel Studios’ intentions.

In fact, actors are often the last to know.

Moreover, Vincent D’Onofrio is among Hollywood’s finest actors.

On Netflix’ Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio plumbed the Kingpin’s depths.

His Kingpin was a tortured soul.

Rarely does an actor embody a comics character with such grace and power.

In 2019, sources revealed Marvel Studios felt his Kingpin was iconic.

The third Hawkeye episode delivered the initial Kingpin cameo.

Entitled “Echoes,” it actually didn’t show him at all.

Instead, the black suit and large hand was enough.

Surely, it was the Kingpin.

Indeed, Vincent D’Onofrio’s chuckle was unmistakable.

In the fifth installment, “Ronin,” the curtains drop.

Vincent D’Onofrio’s face is clearly seen in a photo.

In addition, the actor is credited.

Welcome to the MCU.

The Kingpin’s reign of terror begins.

As I previously said, Eleanor Bishop (Vera Farmiga) works for the Kingpin.

She does.

Another scoop confirmed.

Furthermore, she hired Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) to kill Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner).

Although Vincent D’Onofrio only appeared in a picture, it’s just the start.

On December 25, I leaked that the Kingpin is a future Spider-Man villain.

In other words, Tom Holland faces the Big Man.

Granted, there’s historical context.

In the comics, The Amazing Spider-Man No. 50 introduced the Kingpin.

He was a Spider-Man foe.

Nevertheless, writer/artist Frank Miller tossed the Kingpin in Daredevil.

Afterwards, he became associated with Daredevil.

Miller deepened the Kingpin’s personality.

He went beyond his scary size

Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin is rooted in Miller’s take.

That’s why he is so effective.

Like Miller, he probed inward.

Holland is older when he meets the Kingpin.

The timing is perfect.

Holland’s Peter Parker is tougher after Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The Kingpin entered the MCU as a small image.

The Big Picture is coming.
