Netflix To Remove Iron Fist While Marvel Studios Prepares New Series

Could Netflix removing their Marvel shows mean the stage is being set for a new Iron Fist series?

By now you’ve heard that Netflix will drop Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher and The Defenders on March 1st.

This is due to Netflix’s license coming to an end.

Moreover, this’ll result in Disney regaining the distribution rights to the shows.

Also, it’s not long after they regained the rights to the characters from Netflix.

In addition, Geekosity founder Mikey Sutton revealed on September 15, 2019 that Hulu is a likely destination for them.

Given the mature nature of Netflix’ Defenders, that’s no surprise.

Beyond that, he leaked that Marvel Studios won’t recast a number of the actors.

We’ve recently seen two actors from The Defenders debut in the MCU.

Charlie Cox Matt Murdock helped out Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Furthermore, Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin returned in Hawkeye.

But what does the future hold for the other Netflix heroes?

After Daredevil and the Kingpin, who’s next?

It’s likely that we’ll be seeing the immortal Iron Fist make his comeback.

Nevertheless, Iron Fist is considered to be the most disappointing of Netflix’s collection of Marvel shows.

This was mostly due to the lackluster performance from star Finn Jones.

Many agree, too, that Scott Buck (Inhumans) was a poor choice for show runner in Season One.

Still, Iron Fist did have its moments.

Specifically, Jessica Henwick was delightful as Colleen Wing.

Iron Fist remains a fan favorite.

We all want to see him reach his full potential in the MCU.

Well, it now looks like we’ll finally get to see Iron Fist more powerful.

Marvel Studios has big plans for the character.

Marvel Studios will launch a new Iron Fist series.

However, it probably won’t be for adults like its Netflix predecessor.

Iron Fist will have a much larger budget but will also directly tie-in to the Shang-Chi franchise.

Thus, don’t expect this on Hulu.

Of course, unless Disney CEO Bob Chapek makes that decision.

Will this series will be a continuation of the Netflix program?

Probably not but sources reveal it’s up in the air.

If not, there’s no chance for Jones to be Iron Fist again.

Marvel Studios wants to give Iron Fist a fresh start.
