How Hawkeye Will Bring Back Charlie Cox' Daredevil Explained

Hawkeye is the first step in rebooting Charlie CoxDaredevil. Marvel Studios drops the puzzle pieces. Thus, one by one they form the Big Picture.

On September 15, 2019, I scooped that Marvel Studios had no plans to recast Netflix’ Defenders.

Well, not all of them.

Of course, these were Marvel Television’s ground-level superheroes.

At the time, some claimed that Charlie Cox wouldn’t be Daredevil anymore.

Apparently, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige wanted to avoid other people’s work.

It was a fake rumor.

In reality, Feige had no issue with the actors.

Rather, he didn’t want to follow their continuity.

After all, Feige didn’t produce Netflix’ Marvel programs.

Ex-Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb supervised them.

On April 5, I leaked that Charlie Cox will appear in Echo on Disney Plus.

However, that was the second part of this chain reaction.

It begins on Hawkeye.

First of all, Hawkeye has the de-powered approach of the Netflix shows.

True, neither Hawkeye on the series have powers.

But aside from The Avengers flashback, Hawkeye hits the streets.

And stays on them. Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) isn’t fighting Thanos.

Moreover, Clint Barton doesn’t wear a costume in the first two episodes.

Likewise, Charlie Cox didn’t have his Daredevil outfit until Season One’s end.

Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) is learning on the job. Again, like Daredevil. Or Jessica Jones. Or Luke Cage.

So far, Hawkeye isn’t dark like it’s Netflix predecessors.

To be fair, we don’t know what’s coming.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier faded to black later on.

Still, Alaqua Cox’ debut as Echo in Hawkeye raises eyebrows.

She’s enveloped in red light. It looks like a scene from Daredevil.

Coincidence?

Come on, man.

Echo was Daredevil’s girlfriend in the comics.

In addition, the Kingpin is her stepfather.

On July 24, I reported that Vincent D’Onofrio returns as the Kingpin in Hawkeye.

Furthermore, his fingerprints are already there.

He’s probably in charge of the Tracksuit Mafia.

Not only that, they’re likely searching for his watch.

Maybe his beloved wife Vanessa gave it to him.

Indeed, Echo isn’t the villain here; she’ll have her own show.

The Kingpin is the Big Bad.

On the surface, Hawkeye is a killer adaptation of Matt Fraction and David Aja’s comics.

It executes that beautifully.

But it also sets up the resurrection of Charlie Cox’ Daredevil series.

Feige is playing chess.

He moved Kingpin two spaces.
