Ben Affleck To Return As Batman in HBO Max' Batgirl Film

Ben Affleck is looking likely to return as Daredevil in Deadpool 3. In fact, some of our sources tell us that Ben Affleck will appear as Daredevil in Deadpool 3 minus his costume. In other words, he’ll make a cameo as Matt Murdock, Daredevil’s secret identity as a blind lawyer. However, we haven’t confirmed this with some of our most accurate insiders; thus, file it under rumor for now.

Nevertheless, it makes sense.

But it’s a painful irony for SnyderVerse fans who had another Ben Affleck appearance as Batman taken away from them in the upcoming Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

In addition, the box-office flop The Flash ended with the most unpopular Dark Knight, George Clooney, rather than Ben Affleck.

Instead, Ben Affleck could come back as another superhero to DC rival Marvel Studios.

Jennifer Garner’s return as Elektra in Deadpool 3 opens the door for Ben Affleck to reprise his role as Daredevil. More or less every major actor who previously appeared in 20th Century Fox’s Marvel films is either being speculated to show up or is an object of gossip talk.

Deadpool is shaping up to be an adaptation of the highly successful Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe limited series. In this case, Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool will be wiping out Fox’s Marvel Universe before making his way into the MCU.

In addition, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine will be along for the ride.Recent set photos have shown him and Reynolds’ Deadpool battling it out amongst the ruins of the 20th Century Fox logo.

This further cements reports that the movie will loosely adapt the controversial comic book. Moreover, previous claims of other actors from Fox’s Marvel movies have now been solidified.

The Hollywood Reporter announced that actress Jennifer Garner would be reprising her role as Elektra in Deadpool 3. Ryan Reynolds’ production company Maximum Effort later confirmed this.

Jennifer Garner first portrayed the character alongside her now ex-husband Ben Affleck in Fox’s Daredevil movie in 2003.

The pair first met whilst filming Daredevil and had instant chemistry with one another. It was considered the strongest aspect of an otherwise flawed superhero adventure. Garner later returned as Elektra in her own spin-off film which released two years later.

Upon release, the movie was universally panned by critics and fans alike. To this day, it’s still considered to be one of worst superhero movies ever made.

Like a lot of the Marvel films made under the 20th Century Fox banner. Both Daredevil and Elektra have since gone on to appear in Netflix’s Marvel TV franchise with different actors. Nonetheless, this doesn’t mean that these variants of those characters don’t exist in the MCU’s wider multiverse.

Furthermore, Garner’s presence could indicate that Ben Affleck will also be included. Therefore, this does hold weight, confirmed or not. In fact, there was online chatter of Affleck’s involvement long before Garner’s return was announced.

This would be an awkward reunion given how the former couple’s marriage ended. Still, that doesn’t necessarily mean that Affleck and Garner are on bad terms. Also, this not only opens the door for Affleck’s Daredevil but for all of the characters from the Fox Marvel Universe to appear.

We could even see a crossover between Chris Evans and Michael B. Jordan’s version’s of The Human Torch.

So far, Deadpool 3 seems like the cameo-packed crossover of Marvel’s past, present, and future that some expected from the Doctor Strange sequel. All sorts of misinformation (perhaps intentionally) leaked from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Because of that, a number of informed MCU followers felt disappointed when they didn’t materialize. On other hand, the sequel was highly popular, only a China release away from $1 billion global.
