George Clooney Will Shock With Batman Return In The Flash

George Clooney will shock The Flash‘s ticket buyers when he returns as Batman. No, George Clooney won’t eat significant screen time. In fact, he won’t throw on the Batman costume.

Instead, he will cameo as Bruce Wayne. Rumors fly that The Flash cut Henry Cavill’s Superman; moreover, DC Studios sliced Ben Affleck’s Batman from it’s ending. However, he remains in the first half.

The Flash trailer easily won the Super Bowl with its Zack Snyder-influenced epic action. Furthermore, the scenes with Michael Keaton and Affleck’s Batmans and Sasha Calle’s Supergirl dropped jaws.

Alas, beneath the surface are corporate decisions that calm expectations. No matter who is in charge, DC movies face the same issues. The infection spreads from one regime to the next.

In this case, two steps forward, one step backward. Cavill announced he’s back as the Man of Steel, but only to have DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn pull the rug from under him. DC Studios seems to be in Bizarro World, giving fans the opposite of what they want.

George Clooney, bro?

Nobody asked for George Clooney’s Batman. Not even George Clooney’s closest relatives dreamed of it. George Clooney starred as the Dark Knight in 1997’s box-office flop Batman & Robin.

Without a doubt, it’s among the worst superhero movies of all time. It became a disastrous step down from director Joel Schumacher’s prior Batman Forever.

George Clooney nearly killed the Batman franchise with this weapon of mass destruction. It took Christopher Nolan to revive it with 2005’s Batman Begins. As decades passed, many forgot George Clooney was ever Batman. Or tried to not remember.

Batman & Robin was like a nightmarish one-night stand fueled by beer goggles.

On the other hand, is it true? After all, Gunn debunked that Clooney is the DCU Batman. That was not a real rumor. It was failed speculation that pretended to be a scoop.

On the contrary, YouTube personality Syl Abdul dropped this glass of bourbon. Abdul quickly built his reputation on accurate DC scoops. Remember Affleck in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom? That originated from Abdul.

Besides, Clooney in The Flash is wacky enough for DC Studios. Bank on it. Clooney won’t stick around, though. He’s simply there to show the extent of the Flash’s multiverse travels. And for Gunn to annoy SnyderVerse followers like us.

Thankfully, Clooney in The Flash won’t ruin the movie. Enough insiders have praised it for me to now have full confidence in the film.

I just can’t share that enthusiasm with what DC releases after it.
