Daredevil fans have been on a seesaw if the old Netflix show is still canon, but an actress from that series is teasing her return. Thus, Marvel Studios might be setting their upcoming Daredevil: Born Again in that continuity.
Élodie Yung might have just teased her potential return as Elektra in the MCU. Netflix’s Daredevil is often considered to be the best live-action superhero TV show of all time and rightly so. In addition to the stellar storytelling and gritty tone, Daredevil was widely praised for being its unforgettable performances.
One of which came from French actress Yung who brought Daredevil’s love interest Elektra into the fold. Appearing halfway through Daredevil‘s second season, Elektra would become a vital part of Netflix’s interconnected Marvel narrative.
Initially, she shows up as an old flame that rivals Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) for Matt Murdock’s (Charlie Cox) affections after the Punisher’s (Jon Bernthal) capture. Furthermore, her role in the series causes further strains between Murdock and his best friend Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson).
However, as the progressed, Elektra fought alongside Daredevil against the Hand organization. It was revealed that she was a living weapon known as the Black Sky, the mythical leader of the Hand. Refusing this identity, Elektra was ultimately killed during a rooftop fight.

Nonetheless, this wasn’t the end as she was eventually resurrected for The Defenders team-up series.
But it wasn’t Elektra who came back to life; it was the Black Sky.
During the Defenders’ final battle against the Hand, both she and Daredevil are seemingly killed in a cave-in. He is revealed to have survived but there’s no sign of Elektra, leaving her fate unknown to this day.
With a new program on the horizon, fans are wondering where this leaves Elektra? Given that several actors from Netflix are reprising their roles, it would seem likely that Yung would also return.
However, there’s been multiple rumors that Elektra will also be recast.
Moreover, it’s even been reported that actress Eliza Gonzalez has met with Marvel Studios about possibly taking on the role for Disney Plus.
She later denied this.

Now out of nowhere, it appears that Élodie Yung hints at her coming back.
Via her Instagram, the actress posted two pictures of her as the character.
The caption read:
“Who misses her? I do!”
Could Yung actually be returning to the MCU?
We’re not ruling it out.
