Ezra Miller Faces No Jail Time, But Flash Future Is Uncertain

Ezra Miller avoids jail time in a Vermont burglary case, but their future as the Flash remains uncertain. Controversial actor Ezra Miller accepted a plea deal after admitting guilt to unlawful trespassing. Warner Bros. Discovery hasn’t released The Flash yet; however, it’s already one of the most talked about movies in the world.

Not for all the right reasons, though.

In recent years, the film’s lead Miller has found themself on the wrong side of the law.

More than once.

It started off with a suspected attack on a woman. They appeared to grab her by the throat and throw her down. A camera caught the incident and instantly set social media ablaze.

Nonetheless, the Justice League star received no criminal charges. Thus, the old Warner Bros. regime swept it under the rug. Or so they tried. On social media, many asked for his firing. Warner Bros. hoped the scandal would run away.

Instead, it got worse.

Months later, Ezra Miller would once again wind up in hot water with an alleged attack on another woman. This time the actor reportedly threw a chair. It apparently struck her forehead and left a half-inch cut, according to the police.

In addition, the list even goes beyond assault to drug possession, harassment, kidnapping, breaking and entering, and robbery.

Yikes.

The latter of which has landed them on trial and facing considerable jail time. The authorities accused Miller of breaking into a residence in Vermont and threatening the homeowner. Moreover, the report stated they stole three bottles of alcohol from the premises. Back in October 2022, the actor plead not guilty to unlawful trespassing.

They claimed that they were in the home to take cooking ingredients to their mother who lived nearby. Furthermore, Miller even went as far to say that the homeowner was actually a family friend who’d invited him over. Obviously, they denied this absurd claim.

In a statement released by the actor regarding their behavior, they said:

“I want to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behavior. I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe, and productive stage in my life.”

Recently an update on these ongoing law proceedings has surfaced online. Miller is now set to change their plea in a hearing today in Bennington County Superior criminal court. They’ll now plead guilty to a single charge of unlawful trespassing.

This’ll mean the court drops the burglary and theft charges against them. Nonetheless, they’ll still receive a suspended sentence of 89 to 90 days in jail as well as a year of probation. On top of that, Miller also faces a $500 fine.

It goes without saying that this whole situation has caused a lot of problems for Warner Bros. Discovery and DC Studios. Conflicting reports float regarding Miller’s Flash future. Some argue that DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn’s reboot will recast Miller’s Flash. On the contrary, Variety reported otherwise. They revealed:

“Given that Miller has stayed out of trouble since beginning mental health treatment in the summer, some executives are amenable to continuing with the actor as the world-saving speedster after “The Flash” bows on June 16.”

Insiders tell us that Warner Bros. Discovery hasn’t made a final decision on Miller yet. After all, they bought a pricey Super Bowl ad for The Flash. Obviously, they have tremendous faith in it. And if it succeeds big time, what then? You drop the star of a rare blockbuster for a DC property? DC Studios is thirsty for a hit. The Flash could be that smash.
