Chloe Bennet Gives Scooper A Shellacking Then Teases MCU Return

Chloe Bennet gave a scooper a shellacking but then excites fandom about her possible MCU return. Call it a one-two punch. Without a doubt, Chloe Bennet quaked social media in a single move. Or should that be Quaked? After all, she played Quake for seven seasons on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. from 2013 to 2020.

In the beginning, AOS introduced Chloe Bennet as computer hacker Skye. Some fans believed Marvel TV created her for the series; nevertheless, the mystery surrounding her history caused many to speculate her true identity. By Season Two, AOS revealed her to be Daisy Johnson.

Johnson debuted in Secret War No. 2 in 2004. Writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Gabriele Dell’Otto co-created her.

In Secret Invasion, she gave herself the superhero name Quake. She has the ability to produce earthquakes, which explains the name. Quake’s Secret Invasion roots should tell you where Chloe Bennet will likely return.

If not, Chloe Bennet might tell you herself.

In November 2022, she dropped a major hint to Quake coming back. On her Instagram, she posted a picture of herself in a Spider-Man pose. However, if you glance at her shoes, she has a daisy peeking out from one of them. As in Daisy Johnson.
Now Charles Murphy, reportedly an insider, threw shade at Chloe Bennet on Twitter. He said:

“The best acting on a soap opera isn’t really a major accomplishment.”

In response, Bennet fired back:

“hey man, you seem like a…mean loser?also, i have a strong feeling your tweets aren’t going to age well.”

Obviously, Murphy is attempting to cause a ruckus. Such antics attracts plenty of clicks. Twitter wars between the fan community and celebrities seem to be increasing lately, Indeed, DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn has engaged in a few.

In any case, Murphy commented he “can’t imagine Bennet sharing the screen with talent like Florence Pugh, Hailee Steinfeld or Samuel L. Jackson.”

Some people forget that Jackson appeared on AOS. In addition, he’s also the star of Disney Plus’ Secret Invasion.
While Bennet didn’t confirm Marvel Studios added her to the Secret Invasion cast, she may as well have.

In reality, Bennet grew as an actor on AOS. Certainly, the first half of Season One contained its share of flaws. Still, Bennet wasn’t among them. Viewers expected to see more MCU guest stars. Instead, the program focused on its lead, Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg), and newcomers such as Bennet.

As seasons passed, the writers developed Skye more. Consequently, Bennet plumbed her emotional depths. When she discovered she was an Inhuman, it became one of the series’ finest moments. Furthermore, Bennet shared the screen with the continually brilliant Kyle MacLachlan as Mister Hyde.

And held her own.

Alas, many people who initially tuned in at first missed it. They don’t realize AOS turned upside down halfway through Season One. The show connected with Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Afterward, it struck a groove that never stopped.

AOS dealt with the multiverse and time travel prior to its theatrical siblings. It took chances, producing complex science-fiction narratives. Throughout it all, Bennet cemented Quake as an iconic Marvel superhero. Followers have demanded her MCU debut since then.

Debut?

Disney may have promoted AOS as MCU canon, but as with Netflix’ Defenders series, it wasn’t.

Like Charlie Cox’ Daredevil, Bennet’s Quake won’t be the same person from AOS. On May 9, 2021, we scooped that Marvel Studios would reboot Quake as a mutant in the MCU and not an Inhuman. Certainly, that makes sense. Ms. Marvel brought mutants in the MCU.

On January 27, 2021, I initially reported Bennet back at Marvel. It’s taken a while but it won’t be long before Bennet quakes again.
