Warner Bros Discovery To Limit Ezra Miller’s Flash Promotion

Warner Bros Discovery will limit Ezra Miller’s role in The Flash‘s publicity. According to YouTube personality Syl Abdul, Warner Bros. Discovery is taking no chances. In fact, Ezra Miller should feel lucky the studio didn’t yank them from the film. Or shelve the movie like Batgirl.

As of this writing, Miller remains on thin ice with company executives. On one hand, nothing much changed after Miller’s public apology for their troubling behavior. After all, there are no plans to recast Miller as the Flash. Certainly, other media outlets and commentators continue to push false narratives and inaccurate speculation. Insiders tell me that the newly formed DC Studios want to keep Miller as the Flash.

Still, Miller doesn’t have job security, either. On August 26, I reiterated that Miller has to stay out of trouble. That’s key to this situation. My own sources add that Warner Bros. Discovery remains optimistic for Miller’s future. After all, they love Miller’s performance in The Flash.

If Miller can win over audiences like they did with studio execs, DC Studios need that big win. Although the Rock’s Black Adam just topped $350 million, it’s likely to just break even overall. I heard the magic number is $400 million global. It will reach that goal. Without a doubt, Black Adam breathes life into the DCU. Birds of Prey, Wonder Woman 1984, and The Suicide Squad hurt the franchise.

Black Adam provided the bandage.

The $200-plus million Flash has to hit a home run. And if Miller transforms into a power hitter, they’d prefer them in the costume.

Nevertheless, Warner Bros. Discovery’s actions going forward begin to leak. Per Abdul in his new video:

Don’t expect to see Ezra Miller heavily in promotion for The Flash film.

Abdul added that their apology’s goal was to “calm people down.” Right now, it’s more like a wait-and-see attitude. Thus, Miller might find themselves not promoting their own movie.

Unfortunately, the anti-SnyderVerse crowd will interpret this as WBD cutting ties with them. That’s not the case. Reporters will ask them questions about their legal hassles; in other words, they’ll bring them back in the headlines.

Not a good look.

WBD feels The Flash should be judged on its own merits. Given that, it’s best to bench Miller and have their film smash that home run.
