Report: Sequel To Ezra Miller’s The Flash Already Has A Script

Written By Kieran Bugg

Although Warner Bros. Discovery hasn’t released Ezra Miller’s The Flash yet, the sequel has a complete script. The Flash movie has probably had one of the most turbulent productions of any comic book movie to date.

So far, the film has seen various directors come and go. In addition, several delays and rewrites slowed its progress. In addition, Ezra Miller’s legal drama understandably caused endless controversy. Miller has since apologized for their erratic behavior. Nevertheless, their actions caused serious PR damage.

Some even fans called for a recast.

Still, all of this could easily affect The Flash’s box-office performance in the long run. Nevertheless, WBD CEO David Zaslav remains confident in the film and is pushing ahead with its release.

So much so that he brought Ezra Miller back for more reshoots. Although Zaslav hasn’t greenlit The Flash 2 yet, he pushed forward for the screenplay. Aquaman writer David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick penned the script for this potential second Flash film.

The Hollywood Reporter dropped this unexpected announcement with a load more exciting DC Films news.

Such as a long-awaited sequel to Man Of Steel with Henry Cavill finally becoming a priority for the studio. In addition, they confirmed that Patty Jenkins had also completed the script for the third Wonder Woman movie. Furthermore, they also announced that multiple villain spin-offs set in Matt Reeves’ The Batman universe were in the works.

A sequel to The Batman is now official.

However, a script to a sequel for The Flash was undoubtedly the most surprising news we got from all of this. Normally, WB would announce a sequel once the original has released.

However, the release of this sequel depends on how well The Flash performs next year.

In their initial report they said:

A script for Wonder Woman 3 by Patty Jenkins is expected imminently and a script for a Flash sequel is already written — by Aquaman scribe David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick — in case that movie, to be released June 23, 2023, does well.

With their new regime now in place, WBD has a lot more faith in the future of the DCEU. It seems like it’s paying off with the recent release of Black Adam. The movie has already made a big impact at the worldwide box office.

Hopefully The Flash can do the same.
