Miles Brown Fancast As Miles Morales After Photo With Tom Holland Appears

Spider-Man 4 rumors have given birth to Miles Morales casting speculation. Producer Amy Pascal confirmed Spider-Man 4 is in development. Furthermore, she also announced the live-action Miles Morales film. The latter is perhaps as highly anticipated as Tom Holland‘s next outing.

Since his first appearance in Ultimate Fallout No. 4 back in 2011, Morales’ popularity has dramatically increased. Moreover, some would say his Spider-Man has becoming just as recognizable and iconic as Peter Parker, at least to younger generations.

This is mostly down to the character’s various appearances in animated movies, TV, and video games. Miles Morales made his theatrical debut in Sony’s 2018 universally acclaimed animated adventure, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Often regarded as among the greatest Spider-Man movies of all time, Into The Spider-Verse went on to earn multiple awards. Including the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film. In addition, the character played a supporting role in the Marvel’s Spider-Man PS4 video game from Insomniac released that same year .

He would then go on to star in his own follow-up spinoff game two years later. Now we’re in 2023, Morales is back for a new movie and video game. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has just swung into theaters and is already as critically praised as its predecessor.

Furthermore, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will release exclusively on PlayStation 5 this autumn. The game will include a character switch feature that allows you to play as both Morales and Parker.

It’s a good time to be a fan of Morales. On November 23, 2022, we scooped that Morales will debut in Avengers: Secret Wars. But insiders now tell us that Secret Wars will be when Morales throws on his costume. They add Morales is going appear prior to that in Spider-Man 4.

Thus, Morales will exist within the MCU. Fans have been hoping that the character will be in the MCU. After all, hardcore followers have little faith in Sony by themselves. Although the Venom franchise has been banked millions for Sony, they’ve received complaints for not being faithful to their roots. Similarly, Jared Leto’s Morbius lacked bite and flopped hard.

Given his popularity, they can’t afford to screw up Morales. And they will be compared to the well-loved Spider-Verse pictures. During the premiere for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, former Sony Pictures head Pascal revealed that audiences will see a live-action Morales. The big question is who will play him.

Sources tell us that Miles Brown is in consideration. 18-year-old Brown is of African-American, Filipino, and Mexican descent. He starred in the ABC comedy Black-ish, nominated for several awards, winning Best Performance in a TV Series – Supporting Young Actor. Brown has been on the radar of fans for a while now.

In January 2022, he snapped a picture with Holland, and you couldn’t unsee Morales and Parker there. To hammer it home, there’s even a photo of him with Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige.

Now Pascal was seen with Brown at the premiere of Across the Spider-Verse. Is he campaigning for the role or are they now hinting at it?

We are told Morales hasn’t been cast yet but Brown is in the running. Geekosity founder Mikey Sutton discussed this on an episode of Speedy’s Multiverse on YouTube.

For the eagle-eyed, Morales’ place in the MCU shouldn’t be too surprising.

Morales was teased in the MCU through Donald Glover’s character in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Glover portrayed Miles’ uncle Aaron Davis, otherwise known as the Prowler.

He reprises this role in a shocking cameo in Across the Spider-Verse hinting at Morales’ arrival in the MCU.
