Vincent D’Onofrio teased a brutal fight with Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man, something that could happen sooner than you think. In fact, Geekosity founder Mikey Sutton scooped that the Kingpin would face Spider-Man in his College Trilogy on November 26, 2020. Insiders tell us that the current plan aims for Spider-Man 4.

Vincent D’Onofrio’s portrayal of Wilson Fisk in Netflix’s Daredevil series has always been met with high praise from viewers. His take on Marvel Comics’ feared crime boss is often regarded as one of the franchise’s most compelling and well-written characters.

Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin is even compared to the likes of Josh Brolin’s Thanos, David Tennant’s Kilgrave and Heath Ledger’s Joker. In addition, he’s also rightfully considered to be one of television’s all-time greatest villains.

Vincent D’Onofrio’s brief appearance in Marvel Studio’s Hawkeye on Disney Plus left fans wondering what’ll come next for Fisk. We last saw the character being seemingly killed-off by his adopted niece Echo (Alaqua Cox), who shot him off-screen.

Nonetheless, it’s been long confirmed that the Kingpin will return and continue to cause problems for the MCU’s street-level superheroes. Especially Spider-Man. At GalaxyCon, Vincent D’Onofrio dropped a major spoiler disguised as a joke. He revealed:

“Eventually I’m gonna kick Spider-Man’s ass.”

He will.

Moreover, a new rumor provides the overall context for the story surrounding the fight. According to reports, Fisk is said to be running for mayor of New York City. The reason for this surprising move by the Kingpin is because of the vigilantes who cause trouble for his criminal empire.

Most notably Daredevil, the Punisher, Spider-Man, Clint Barton, and Kate Bishop. He intends to use his mayoral powers to crackdown on the MCU’s collection of vigilantes. Furthermore, this tale could potentially be spread across multiple MCU movies and Disney Plus shows.

Further details about this potential arc for Fisk have emerged via The Cosmic Circus. They wrote:

“According to our sources, the rumors regarding Fisk seeking a political seat are true. However, this plot point will not occur only in one project and immediately be resolved in the same project. The storyline of Fisk seeking the Mayoral seat of NYC will be explored in many projects directly while potentially affecting other projects indirectly.”

In addition, their source also claimed that this arc will take inspiration from the Dark Reign comic books.

They continued:

“One source has even specified that this storyline will mirror elements from the Dark Reign storyline from the comics. When asked for clarification, it is implied that the street-level stories of the MCU will be tackling more mature themes, similar to how Netflix approached the Daredevil and Jessica Jones series, respectively.”

This plot will reportedly commence in the upcoming Echo Disney Plus program and will carry on into Daredevil: Born Again.

The latter will see the villain succeed in his goal. It’s also likely that Tom Holland’s fourth Spider-Man movie will be part of this mini-saga.

The site concluded their report saying:

“The story of Fisk’s path to mayoral election is expected to start in the upcoming Disney+ series, Echo. Given how one source has described the Dark Reign arc as one of the inspirations for this storyline, it is likely that at some point in Daredevil: Born Again, Wilson Fisk will succeed and be elected as Mayor of NYC.”

While Kang may be the main villain of the Multiverse Saga, Fisk is looking to make his own impact. Without a doubt, the MCU is balancing three different paths here simultaneously. Kang will be the Big Bad on the cosmic side. On the other hand, the Kingpin will take on the street fighters. Lastly, the supernatural anti-heroes such as Werewolf by Night and Man-Thing will face Mephisto (Sacha Baron Cohen).
