Miles Morales is on the run from the Spider-Society in new Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse clip.

After nearly five years of waiting, it won’t be long until we once again enter the Spider-Verse. The highly anticipated sequel to Sony Pictures’ animated masterpiece Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse is only a week away.

Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse will be the first of a two-part finale to the Spider-Verse trilogy. The third film Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse, is set to be released next year on March 29th.

In addition, both movies will feature an endless amount of Spider-Variants from Spider-Man’s 60-year history. A recently released clip from Across The Spider-Verse has given us a taste of the Spider-Society and it’s incredible numbers.

Following a confrontation with Miguel O’Hara’s Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac), Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) finds himself on the run. Miguel O’Hara puts out the call to the whole Spider-Society to stop Spider-Man from escaping which leads to confusion.

Moreover, there’s also a fantastic recreation of the now famous pointing meme with each Spider-Person pointing at each other. Two notable Spider-Men we see are Insomniac’s Spider-Man from the 2018 PlayStation exclusive video game and Spider-Man 2211.

After Miles’ cover is hilariously blown by Miguel, the chase begins with webs flying everywhere. From there we’re introduced to two obscure and downright bizarre Spider-Variants from the multiverse.

Including a Spider-Cat that can shoot webs out of it’s mouth and even a T-Rex in a full Spider-Man suit. Furthermore, Miles then crashes through the wall of an ongoing therapy session with his multiple pursuers in tow.

We don’t see the result of this chase. Nonetheless, it’s safe assume that Miles escapes from Miguel and the Spider-Society with the help of Spider-Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld).

The animation we see in this short clip is nothing short of outstanding. Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse changed cinema forever with it’s comic book style blend of 3D and 2D animation.

The sequel looks like it’ll push the envelope even further by featuring even more animation types than ever before. Disney will undoubtedly have some tough competition for best animated feature at next year’s Academy Awards.
