Ben Affleck has reportedly signed a new deal for three solo Batman movies. According to insiders, the agreement includes a guest appearance in another DC movie. However, the contract does not include any Justice League sequels. On the other hand, that could arrive later. Still, these remain rumors for now.
When The Rock leaked the mid-credits scene of Black Adam with the appearance of Henry Cavill as Superman, we knew that change was coming. Change in terms of getting the ball rolling again. What has been happening in Warner Bros. before the new regime was that DC Films was slowly erasing the Zack Snyder timeline in the DCEU. Now, under new management, steadily the characters are getting back onto the silver screen.

Prior to this, the DCEU did not have a strong common goal. And that further weakened the company as it continued taking steps to delete the SnyderVerse.
They were wrong.
Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav put a stop to it.
Thus, it may be better to say that things are not changing but reverting. And reverting hopefully for the better, more exciting ways.
It’s no secret that Ben Affleck will appear in Ezra Miller’s The Flash. News of his appearance in the movie is all over the Internet. And, more recently, Jason Momoa revealed Affleck’s participation in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. We could say that his return in these upcoming DC movies could be just contractual. Maybe he had an obligation to return.
Affleck has said before that he has quit being Batman sometime after working on the theatrical release of Joss Whedon’s Justice League.
However, Affleck seems like he is in a happier place now. It feels like a far cry compared to how he was doing Justice League reshoots with Whedon. He has admitted that he enjoyed working on The Flash. And it seems that he liked working on the Aquaman sequel, too.
Rumor: Ben Affleck Signs On For Three Batman Movies
What film he will be guesting on is anybody’s guess at this time. One possibility is the Trinity movie with Cavill and Gal Gadot.
We wonder if Ben Affleck will push through a film version of Arkham Asylum. Then again, Batman has a ton of amazing stories to draw inspiration from.
Geekosity founder Mikey Sutton discussed this with YouTube personality Syl Abdul on his channel.
Cavill is not the only one back in the DCEU.
It’s slowly showing that Zaslav is really doing what he can to reassure DC fans. He has been getting a lot of bad PR from the mainstream press because of his cancellations of several projects. But getting Cavill and Affleck to return as Superman and Batman gives us all a bit of comfort. The SnyderVerse is slowly coming back.
Brick by brick.
