Iron Fist’s Jessica Henwick Would Love To Return In MCU Reboot

Iron Fist‘s Jessica Henwick could be another Netflix veteran to enter the MCU. At least, she’s open to it.

Two actors from Netflix’ Daredevil just made their MCU debuts.

First, Charlie Cox’ Matt Murdock appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Secondly, Hawkeye introduced Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin.

Spider-Man: No Way Home ripped the multiverse open.

Thus, non-canon films and TV series can now expand the MCU.

After Cox and D’Onofrio came back, speculation exploded.

The big question was: Who’s next?

Iron Fist was the black sheep of Marvel’s Netflix programs.

They were grouped together as The Defenders.

That was also the limited series that united most of them.

Daredevil launched this pocket universe in 2015.

In the beginning, they were supposedly connected to the MCU.

These dark, moody shows were on the adult side.

The characters drank, had sex, and cursed.

In The Punisher‘s case, they chopped people up.

Then there was Iron Fist.

This was Marvel’s initial attempt at a martial arts adventure.

However, this was no Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

After all, the budget was small.

In addition, the fight choreography was lackluster.

About half or more of Season One was boardroom boredom.

Finn Jones as Iron Fist looked like he failed the Arrow audition.

Needless to say, fans howled at Iron Fist.

Nevertheless, Iron Fist had buried treasure: Jessica Henwick.

Jessica Henwick’s Colleen Wing delivered the punch in Iron Fist.

By Season Two, alongside Simone Missick’s Misty Knight, she nearly saved the sinking ship.

But Netflix cancelled Iron Fist and its fellow Defenders in 2018.

On April 21, I scooped that Marvel Studios was interested in Jessica Henwick for a reboot.

Furthermore, such a show reunites her with Missick.

The pair’s Daughters of the Dragon spin-off never moved forward at Netflix.

Yet if Marvel Studios pursues its plans, she could be a phone call away.

Jessica Henwick acknowledged:

I would love to revisit her and get back into her head.

Still, there is some hesitation. She added:

On the other hand, we left her in a great place. She’s paired up with Misty, she’s got that going on, she’s got her powers, she seems to be good at it. She’s living her best life. And I know if we bring her back, we have to bring her into conflict. I just want her to have her happy ending.

Having Jessica Henwick in the MCU would be a happy ending for everyone.
