Zack Snyder Teases Snyder Con With Shocking Darkseid Video

Zack Snyder posted a cryptic Darkseid video online teasing an upcoming announcement on the last three days of April. What does it all mean? Is Zack Snyder returning to direct Justice League 2 for Warner Bros. Discovery? Has Netflix licensed the SnyderVerse yet?

Alas, none of the above.

Sources indicate that Zack Snyder is hinting at another Snyder Con. On March 22-24, Zack Snyder hosted a charity event at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. Zack Snyder showed three of his films at the time. They were Dawn of the Dead, Watchmen, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Insiders explain that this is a similar meet-and-greet with Zack Snyder. As far as movies are concerned, they add they expect him to screen Zack Snyder’s Justice League with the cut footage of Wayne T. Carr as the John Stewart version of Green Lantern. Nonetheless, that hasn’t been confirmed.

The video that Snyder posted showed a similar digital interface to Ray Fisher’s Cyborg from ZSJL.

The screen then cuts to black.

Nonetheless, various pieces of written text appeared throughout the video with the brooding voice of Darkseid. In fact, it name drops Darkseid. Specifically, the text reads:

“INCOMING TRANSMISSION, FROM LORD DARKSEID, APRIL 28-30 2023, SAVE THE DATE…”

Many fans began to speculate that Snyder was hinting at his return to DC. After all, Snyder also wrote #FullCircle.

Already this caused a huge amount of speculation on social media. Alas, DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn is moving forward with his semi-reboot of the franchise. Given that whatever is coming is scheduled to be a three-day event, Snyder Con would make the most sense.

But why mention Darkseid if DC’s not involved? Darkseid was the ultimate threat that his DC movies were building towards. His brief screen time in ZSJL left fans in awe and begging for more. Apparently, each day will include one of Snyder’s DCEU movies, beginning with 2013’s Man of Steel.

As for #FullCircle, it can be interpreted in two ways. One is that Snyder is saying goodbye to DC.  So he takes a fond look back with this trio of films. Given that Snyder hasn’t signed a new contract with Warner Bros. Discovery or Netflix concerning more DC movies, for now that’s all he has.

On the other hand, he could be teasing his comeback. Unfinished business.

In any case, this proves that Snyder hasn’t moved on from DC. He could’ve used something from his upcoming Rebel Moon to push this. Instead, he brought out Darkseid. Moving on? Doesn’t look like it.
