Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. may be dead, but echoes of the series continue to haunt WandaVision on Disney Plus.

The seventh episode of WandaVision, “Breaking the Fourth Wall,” dropped even more teases to Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

At this point, there have been too many to call this coincidental.

In this installment of WandaVision, Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) steals a van with Vision (Paul Bettany).

On the dashboard, she sees a small hula girl, and the camera focuses on it.

Obviously, the director wants us to notice; therefore, this is no throwaway scene.

It’s remarkably similar to the hula girl Quake (Chloe Bennet) had in her van in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.; furthermore, it’s also a reference to Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) and his resurrection in “Tahiti.”

Furthermore, there is the book in Agatha Harkness’ (Kathryn Hahn) basement that recalls the Darkhold in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Consisting of dark matter, it’s evil stuff.

Nevertheless, I did speculate that it probably isn’t the Darkhold because of the change in appearance.

But it certainly opened up Pandora’s Box in that discussion.

Then again, the possibility that it is the Darkhold is still alive.

After all, what if Harkness has simply changed its look to disguise it? Or perhaps her spell has altered it somehow?

Let us not forget that in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Ghost Rider (Gabriel Luna) grabbed the Darkhold and took it into another dimension.

Could that have changed it?

Whatever the case, WandaVision producers know exactly what they’re doing.

Marvel’s AoS is on our mind. It’s not because of our active imaginations, and nor are we living in the Hex. (Or are we?)

Prior to this, WandaVision has slyly winked at the Framework and President Ellis, both from Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Puzzle pieces in the MCU always form the Big Picture.

This one has a portrait of Marvel’s AoS framed on it.
