Details regarding a High Republic-era Star Wars Disney Plus series have emerged online.

Despite having a rough time at the movies, the Star Wars franchise has found huge success with their Disney Plus series. Immediately after it premiered, The Mandalorian became an instant classic. The now iconic Baby Yoda won over jaded hearts.

In fact, the Season Two finale currently sits as one of the highest-rated television episodes of all time on IMDB.

Moreover, it also garnered a spin-off series, The Book Of Boba Fett.

The Book of Boba Fett starred the famous bounty hunter after he made a long-awaited return in The Mandalorian.
In addition, even more live-action Star Wars series are on the way.

Obi-Wan Kenobi hits the streaming service on May 25th. Andor will premiere later this year. Andor is the prequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Other series like The Acolyte and Ahsoka still remain in pre-production. Last month insiders learned of a mystery Star Wars show. But details were scarce. Grammar Rodeo is the working title for the project.

Now the leaks begin. According to a new report, this series focuses on the High Republic period of Star Wars continuity.

They claim the reason behind the Grammar Rodeo working title is a reference to an episode of The Simpsons. The episode in question is “Bart On The Road.”

Bart and his friends trick their parents into letting them take a trip to the National Grammar Rodeo. However, they actually go on a road trip to the World’s Fair in Knoxville, Tennessee.

This High Republic show follows a group of either younglings or Padawans. In other words, it’s Stranger Things in space. It sounds like a cool twist. It’s definitely a different take on Star Wars.

Moreover, it’ll apparently begin filming in June and end in December. Pre-production began in Culver City, California. They’re building sets now.

Shooting will take place at the Manhattan Beach Studios, where filming for all previous live-action shows also took place.

There’s a strong possibility we could see an official announcement for the series at Star Wars Celebration on May 26.

May is always the most exciting time for Star Wars fans.

With Obi-Wan Kenobi  and several announcements rumored for Star Wars Celebration, there’s a lot to be excited for.
