Fantastic Four casting rumors continue to sprout this summer, and one potential actress has opened up about her own possibility.
Vanessa Kirby has responded to whispers that she’s in the running to portray Sue Storm in Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four reboot.
As we get closer to the inevitable announcement, gossip about who’ll be cast as the Fantastic Four won’t stop circulating through the Internet.
Immediately after Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed that the first family were coming to the MCU, speculation started running rampant. A majority of reports centered around who could play Mr. Fantastic and The Invisible Woman.

Real-life married couple John Krasinski and Emily Blunt were originally the most popular choices for the roles. Not surprising given they both look the parts and have the talent and chemistry to pull off the classic super couple.
Half of this did come true when Krasinski appeared as Reed Richards in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Nonetheless, this was as a multiverse variant of the character, not the one we’ll see in the main MCU timeline. Blunt also dismissed these claims as she had no desire to sign a lengthy contract.
With filming reportedly set to commence early next year, fans are anxiously awaiting to discover who the cast will be. The casting process has been confirmed to be underway, so it shouldn’t be long now.
Moreover, it was initially believed that we’ll finally have our answer when next month’s San Diego Comic-Con comes around. Alas, Marvel Studios will not be attending SDCC.
However, that hasn’t stopped fans and scoopers from trying to figure it out for themselves. One of the more recent names to be added to the shortlist is Mission: Impossible actress Vanessa Kirby.

Vanessa Kirby portrayed Alanna Mitsopolis, the White Widow, in 2018’s Mission Impossible: Fallout. Furthermore, she will reprise the role in the upcoming Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning two-parter.
With the first movie about to hit theaters, Kirby sat down for an interview. Kirby was asked if she knew about the rumors of her possibly being cast as Sue Storm. Kirby confirmed she had and expressed interest in the role.
The actress said:
“Oh, yes! I’ve heard about those rumors, it would be an honor.”
She may have already signed on to The Fantastic Four and simply not allowed to say it.
