Fantastic 4 Casting Focuses On The Invisible Woman

According to the latest Fantastic Four report, the casting process will primarily focus on finding the MCU’s Sue Storm.

There’s no doubt that the most talked about Marvel Studio’s movie is their upcoming Fantastic Four reboot. For years now, Marvel fans have waited to see the classic superhero team get the MCU treatment.

In 2019, Kevin Feige finally announced that a reboot was in active development following Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox. Prior to the acquisition, Fox made three separate attempts at launching their own Fantastic Four movie series.

The first didn’t even make it to theatres and was ultimately denied an official release. Nonetheless, pirated copies of the film have managed to find their way onto YouTube.

In 2005, Fox’s second attempt managed to earn over $300 million worldwide despite receiving mixed to negative reviews. A sequel was green-lit and released two years later to a similar critical and financial reception.

Moreover, a third film and even Silver Silver spin-off film were revealed to be in development. However, neither saw the light of day and the franchise was then rebooted.

The 2015 Fantastic Four film is best left forgotten. After all, it’s considered to this day to be one of the worst movies ever put to screen.

In addition, it bombed so hard at the box office that 20th Century Fox nearly went bankrupt. It’s no surprise that everyone was ecstatic to learn that an MCU adaptation was in the works.

Sadly there’s been no official word on who’ll portray Marvel’s first family despite countless rumours. However a recent report suggests that we could be closer than we think for an official announcement.

According to Deadline’s Justin Kroll, Marvel Studios is about to begin their search for their Fantastic Four. Furthermore, Kroll has suggested the process will primarily focus on finding an actress to play Sue Storm.

Via Twitter, the senior film reporter posted:

“While the film won’t shoot till top of 24, word around town is the Marvel will begin gearing up casting process of F4 this month. No names rumored for now but the belief is the focus will be casting Sue Storm first and building out the rest of team after she is set.”

Nevertheless we might not hear who’ll be selected to portray the character straight away.

Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige have a certain way of revealing new cast members who’ll be portraying big characters.

Kroll continued:

“Just to be clear, even if something is getting active or gearing up, could still be weeks or even months before we have our four actors given how thorough the studio and Feige are.”

With that being said, it looks certain that we’ll finally know who’ll star in Fantastic Four sooner rather than later. At the latest we’ll find out by the time this year’s San Diego Comic-Con comes around.
