Bryce Dallas Howard is reportedly in talks to star as the Invisible Woman in and direct The Fantastic Four film. YouTube host Michael Roman reported this on his Everything Always channel. However, given that it originated from an anonymous leak, the possibility exists it’s incorrect.

Nevertheless, I listed Howard as among The Fantastic Four‘s potential directors on April 30 on Syl Abdul’s Scoopcenter.

Sources indicated Marvel Studios was seriously considering her. Marvel Studios initially hired Jon Watts to helm The Fantastic Four.

But Watts recently dropped The Fantastic Four from his schedule. Apparently, Watts wanted a break from superhero movies after Spider-Man: No Way Home. Well, publicly that’s the excuse he wanted to distribute.

Privately, sources acknowledged Disney may have lured him away with a bigger project.

Regardless, Watts will probably return for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4. In other words, he isn’t finished with either Marvel Studios or comic-book fare.

Everything Always added an extra bomb. Marvel Studios is in discussions with Howard to play Susan Richards, the Fantastic Four’s Invisible Woman as well.

For years, fans campaigned for John Krasinski and his real-life wife Emily Blunt to play Reed and Susan Richards in The Fantastic Four.

For Krasinski, Marvel Studios gave them their wish in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Krasinski appeared as a variant of Richards.

Krasinski is likely to return as the MCU’s Richards. But Blunt rejected Marvel Studios’ long-term contracts. It’s possible Krasinski could still direct The Fantastic Four. Indeed, nothing is official yet.

Still, Bryce Dallas Howard is a viable alternative. Like Krasinski, Bryce Dallas Howard can both act and direct like her father Ron Howard (Solo: A Star Wars Story). As a compromise, Krasinski could be an executive producer.

Moreover, Bryce Dallas Howard has Disney experience. She directed two episodes of The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett‘s finest moment. Howard portrayed Gwen Stacy in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3.

Granted, it remains to be seen how true this rumor is. Is Blunt completely out of the picture? While Bryce Dallas Howard is a fine actress, Krasinski and Blunt are so perfect.
