Patrick Stewart Discussed For Deadpool 3

Audiences could soon see Patrick Stewart back in the MCU in Deadpool 3. All things considered this rumor is not exactly impossible. After all, a variant of Professor X has already come and gone in the MCU. No doubt that Earth 616 will have its own telepathic leader for all mutants.

Besides, for two movies now, the Merc with a Mouth has always referred to the X-Men, especially in his fourth wall breaking lines. There was even a moment where a handful of mutants appeared in the sequel who all seem to be avoiding Deadpool. Meanwhile, Small Screen (via Giant Freakin Robot) posts that Patrick Stewart is currently in talks to appear in Deadpool 3.

Finishing off most of his prior engagements, Stewart may actually be available for the third Deadpool movie. Any earlier, it could have conflicted with Star Trek: Picard. Being the main character and executive producer, it may just be difficult for the seasoned actor to take on another project. But now, Stewart is in-between projects and may just find the time to be a mutant in the MCU again.

After those few minutes in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, fans know he fits right in the main universe.

The Deadpool 3 storyline is still under wraps. And it didn’t help either that they were remarkably absent in the recent D23.

For the most part, people are actively anticipating what star Ryan Reynolds has to say. He did state that updates will arrive sooner rather than later. Perhaps this is also a way for them to test the waters. Let’s let the public in on a secret that maybe Professor X is in the third movie. What would happen then?

Any Marvel fan would welcome the notion that mutants are fully entering the MCU. The mutant drop in the Ms. Marvel series is just a tease. The glaring nod through the ’90s X-Men animated theme promises more.

For one thing, Marvel Studios assured that Deadpool 3 will not shy away from its original R rating. Moreover, Wade Wilson (Reynolds) will still be overly talkative, opinionated, and cell regenerating. Other than Reynolds, it is only Leslie Uggams’ Blind Al who is on the official cast list.

Stewart as Professor Charles Xavier could very well be in that list as well.

It is always exciting to hope that the mutants finally, clearly come home to the MCU.
