Warner Bros Discovery Removes Ezra Miller From Future Flash Projects

DC Films has removed Ezra Miller as the Flash. Currently, Warner Bros Discovery hasn’t decided on The Flash film’s fate. Nevertheless, Ezra Miller will no longer play the character afterwards.

Per Deadline, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav has had enough of Ezra Miller:

In Zaslav’s plan to make DC an explosively successful division like Marvel under his newly structured studio, with its own new boss, the non-binary identifying Miller, we hear, is simply not a part of those plans going forward in the future universe regardless if there are more allegations or not.

The latest accusations against Ezra Miller are among the most troubling. Via NBC News, a Massachusetts mother acquired a temporary order of protection on behalf of her 12-year-old child against Ezra Miller. The Greenfield District Court in Massachusetts issued the court order. In fact, they gave it “without advance notice because the Court determined that there is a substantial likelihood of immediate danger of harassment.”

Granted, the order didn’t feature any allegations against Ezra Miller. Nonetheless, the mother revealed concerning details. She explained that:

Miller first seemed friendly but that she soon grew suspicious of Miller’s relationship with her child. She said she told the judge that Miller offered to buy the child gifts, including a horse, even after she rejected Miller’s earlier offers.

The Daily Beast offered additional information. Apparently, the “actor menaced their family one evening in their downstairs neighbor’s home and acted inappropriately toward the nonbinary youngster.”

Ezra Miller’s arrests in Hawaii stunned Hollywood in May. Moreover, many questioned Ezra Miller’s future as the Flash. On May 10, I reported The Flash won’t recast Ezra Miller. Simply put, they can’t. Warner Bros. spent more than $200 million on it.

On April 12, we scooped that WBD discussed hiring a new Flash actor after the movie. It won’t be the CW’s Flash Grant Gustin. Nonetheless, they contemplated a new Barry Allen.

It’s happening now.

On a members video for Syl Abdul, I leaked WBD discussed releasing The Flash on HBO Max. A day later, Deadline acknowledged, too, that this was an option.

Sources add that HBO Max looks like the most realistic destination for The Flash. Although the hefty price tag will sting, insiders explain that The Flash‘s box-office potential won’t surpass the toxic PR.

Yes, WBD could shelve The Flash. Certainly, it’s possible. But I don’t believe Zaslav will go there. It’s too expensive. Zaslav won’t toss $200 million away. However, Ezra Miller probably killed its theatrical release. He’s poison. Like Amber Heard, he stinks the headlines. And he’ll sink The Flash.

WBD saves The Flash on HBO Max. Maybe.
