Since 2018’s Venom, many fans complained his lack of connection to Spider-Man.
2015’s Sony-Disney deal brought Spider-Man to the MCU.
On the other hand, it took Spider-Man out of Venom.
After all, Tom Holland’s first trilogy was set in the MCU.
On the contrary, Venom did not.
In other words, without Spider-Man, it made no sense.
Then again, it wouldn’t be possible for Sony to truly adapt Venom’s origin.
Spider-Man acquired the symbiote costume in Marvel Comics’ 1984 Secret Wars.
Venom To Get Spider Symbol Costume In The MCU
But Sony doesn’t have the rights to Secret Wars.
Indeed, Secret Wars included characters from the Fantastic Four, the Avengers, and the X-Men.
They’re in the MCU.
Still, Sony could’ve attached Spider-Man to Venom anyway.
Let’s not forget Sam Raimi did just that in 2007’s Spider-Man 3.
Granted some people would rather not remember the film.
The maximum carnage caused by a Spider-Man/Venom meeting inspires the headlines.
Yet it’s Venom with the spider symbol that’ll make comics readers rejoice.
Insiders add that Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige prefers a Venom closer to his roots.
With both Spider-Man and Venom in the MCU, it can finally happen.
The process began in Venom: Let There Be Carnage.
In a post-credit sequence, Venom (Tom Hardy) is transported into the MCU.
A bright flash of light suggests a Doctor Strange spell.
Thus, it takes place after an event in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Sources explain that Spider-Man and Venom do fight at first meeting.
Afterwards, there is an understanding between them.
The spider symbol seems to be a homage to the wall crawler.
It looks like this will transpire in Venom 3.
Holland has signed on.
Although Marvel Studios is developing a Secret Wars movie, it’s too late to do that origin.
Nevertheless, Venom is in Secret Wars.
Moreover, Spider-Man will wear the black costume.
Therefore, the order may be different, but the elements are retained.
