The Rock slyly teased Superman’s wink in an Instagram video. Henry Cavill returning as Superman in Black Adam is currently all over the news.
Of course, he is. He does appear in it. The Rock utilizes a familiar marketing plan. Thank you, Spider-Man: No Way Home. For about a year, Sony played hide-and-seek with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.
Same strategy.
Cavill showed up in Los Angeles with his Superman haircut and blue shirt.
LOL, Cavill, LOL.
We get it.
Now it looks like The Rock has fueled another tease of Superman’s appearance which is hard to ignore.

The Rock posted on Instagram, talking about the soundtrack of Black Adam that Lorn Balfe composed. Of course, he told us to buy the album. We’re not gonna lie; the soundtrack sounds incredible. Anyway, that’s beside the point. He also follows up saying this:
I just saw the movie again last night. I can’t wait for you guys to see Black Adam. He is the most powerful…
He pauses and says:
There’s the third act.
There are two possible interpretations about this. One, the Rock is reacting to the third act of the theme music. Two, he’s talking about the third act of the film.
Then he continues:
He is the most powerful and unstoppable force on this planet.
Here’s the interesting part. He reacts as if he is really excited to tell us something. Now, I’m pretty sure this is not about the music. He says again:
On This Planet.
Then he does a wink.
Not just a wink.
The Wink.
In other words, Superman’s wink.
Masterful. The Rock just schooled the world on marketing.
In the classic comics or cartoon, Superman or Clark Kent would break the fourth wall by winking to the audience or readers. In fact, this started from the Fleischer Studios Superman cartoons back in 1941 but later adapted into the comics. He first winked in the comic books in Superman No. 19 in 1942.

Black Adam is the most powerful and unstoppable force on this planet. So, who is more powerful that is not on this planet? Without a doubt, he means Superman.
Furthermore, let’s entertain the idea that the third act could be about the film. Certainly, the Rock does know how to tease his audience. Okay, does this mean that Superman could show up earlier than just the end credit scene? We have reported before that Cavill may show up at the middle or end of the credits. This is supposed to set up a Black Adam vs. Superman film. But if Superman shows up in the third act of Black Adam, that would be a crowd pleaser for sure. That would be interesting indeed.
Right now, a lot of people are excited to see Cavill come back as Superman. The Rock wants it to happen. Heck, he is friends with him, and they have the same agent. The Rock has reportedly pressured Warner Bros. Discovery to bring Cavill back. Even if the third act part is not true, fans are really hyped up to see Cavill back in the suit again. Cavill deserves to be the Superman of this generation.
