Sony is now teasing Venom in the MCU in a teaser. In TWO weeks, “the universe is expanding in Venom: Let There Be Carnage,” it said.

On the surface, the “universe” could be Sony’s own series of Spider-Man spin-offs such as the upcoming Morbius.

Come on, man.

It’s the MCU.

Seriously, what else could it be?

The Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer unveiled the return of Alfred Molina of Doctor Octopus; moreover, it showed the original Green Goblin from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man.

This became big news as those villains didn’t exist in the MCU; they were from Sony productions.

In addition, Sony’s brilliant marketing strategy has intentionally leaked videos of former Spider-Man Andrew Garfield in costume.

Hilariously, they quickly had them removed from most sites online.

Furthermore, poor Garfield was contractually obligated to deny he’s in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

LOL, Sony.

Well played.

The mysteries lit social media on fire. In fact, this game of push and pull will be studied by advertising students years from now.

If Venom: Let There Be Carnage destroys the box office on opening weekend, this is why.

The MCU connection explodes fan discussions like a Molotov cocktail.

We’re not a magazine that’ll play the corporate game and deny WTF is really going on.

The clues are in plain sight.

Sony is known for its embarrassing leaks from 2014’s Sony Pictures hack.

Now they’re leaking them on their own.

It’s genius.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage increased the interest level in the movie when a post-credit scene spilled on the Internet.

Spoiler alert: The Venom sequel attached itself to the MCU.

Moreover, Venom: Let There Be Carnage star Tom Hardy wore a Spider-Man: No Way Home hat and posed for a picture.

Celebrities, especially of Hardy’s stature, don’t post images on social media randomly. It’s promotion

I scooped a few days ago that “Venom will briefly appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home to set up the fourth movie.”
While Hardy’s photo doesn’t confirm that, it’s another piece of the puzzle.

So the tangled web of Marvel Studios and Sony becomes more clear.

In addition, expect more leaks.

LOL, Sony, LOL.
