Director Sam Raimi has reportedly signed on for another Doctor Strange film.

Per a new report, Sam Raimi will helm more upcoming MCU projects. The projects include not only theatrical releases but Disney Plus series.

It’s notable that for the most part of the new Doctor Strange‘s trailer, the MCU is truly getting darker with every project. With WandaVision being the transition point from the quirky comedy, action and adventure, it opened doors to psychological trauma, with the darker tones in depicting Chaos Magic in the MCU.

Viewers note the danger and how deep the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) is delving into the Darkhold.

For Marvel Studios, it’s a smart move. People are on the edge of their seats. They can’t wait to see Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Its Super Bowl trailer drew millions of views.

The upcoming series Moon Knight is outright dark in its tone and storytelling approach. Not to mention the psychological aspect of the series as well. Moon Knight struggles with multiple personalities.

The most likely upcoming project for Sam Raimi’s caliber of directing is Agatha: House of Harkness. Could an episode or two of this series be Sam Raimi’s project after to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness? It’d be before he begins development for Doctor Strange 3.

Note that after Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Marvel plans to add a bit of horror to the MCU. So, Sam Raimi might be the perfect fit for this new direction Marvel is getting into.

Next possible projects already belong to Phase Five of the MCU. Sam Raimi is absolutely not new to the superhero genre because of his successful trilogy with Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man.

It’s without a doubt that Marvel wants a long term relationship with the seasoned director. His masterful eye into the MCU is yet to be revealed to the world. Despite this, Marvel already secures their time with him for more projects in the future.
