Massive Blu-ray sales on Zack Snyder‘s version of Justice League solidifies the return of the Snyderverse.
Once the merger with Discovery, Inc. is complete in 2022, we hear it’s simply a matter of time before it happens.
Zack Snyder’s work on Justice League seems to have proven once again that his vision had it right all along with its release on DVD and Blu-ray media.
The sales are highly impressive.
Zack Snyder wasn’t able to finish his work on the epic movie.
He was forced to leave the production of Justice League mainly because of a family tragedy.
Joss Whedon took over directing the film.
However, Whedon’s bright, more comedic take clashed with Zack Snyder’s darker style.
In fact, many fans felt that Whedon trashed it.
Moreover, terrible box-office results and reviews made people wonder how Zack Snyder’s original version would have looked like.
Fans demanded to see The Snyder Cut.
After years of waiting, HBO Max gave the go signal to Zack Snyder to actually finish the movie as an exclusive to the streaming service.
The length of time from filming to actually getting to edit it took him some years and a bit of follow-up shoots.
The long period may have actually contributed to Zack Snyder polishing his film.
It’s amazing that HBO Max gave him the time and resources to actually finish it.
It revealed that HBO Max had more faith in Zack Snyder’s work than DC Films did with their own property.
It’s normal for movie projects to film a lot more than they should, especially when the script changes while shooting.
While I believe we won’t ever see Zack Snyder’s initial plan for the theatrical version, presenting the movie on HBO Max gave him more time to refine Justice League.
Furthermore, he was able to edit it as a miniseries instead of one long movie.
Some may argue that Zack Snyder’s Justice League was too long.
But if you do watch the film, it is separated in chapters, which makes a lot of sense; it was split into a series.

Remember that it was planned to be shown as a limited series instead of one lengthy movie; however, that did change close to its HBO Max release.
The online streaming performance of Zack Snyder’s Justice League on HBO Max drove big numbers.
Many were curious to see how different it would be Whedon’s box-office flop.
What was more impressive was how more engaging to watch it was than Whedon’s.
Warner Bros. refused to unveil its true performance on HBO Max.
They can’t do that with its physical media sales.
The report comes from MediaPlayNews, where it shows that the newly released movie outsold the number two movie by 5 to 1.
The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It was previously number one on the overall sales chart (includes DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra).
Hitman’s Wife Bodyguard maintained the number two spot on the Blu-ray sales.
In addition, Zack Snyder’s Justice League Trilogy reached the top 20 list of Blu-ray sales (ranked at 14th place).
You would think that people are still buying DVDs and Blu-Rays to keep watching the movie, but it’s still available on HBO Max.
People are either buying the film because they don’t like using a subscription service or they just love watching the movie at its best performance.
One thing is for sure: Zack Snyder’s Justice League is a success even outside HBO Max.
That Zack Snyder’s Justice League is selling out on Blu-ray makes the restoration of the Snyderverse inevitable.
After all, the multiverse is now in play with the events of Ezra Miller’s The Flash (2022).
New owner Discovery, Inc. can see that Zack Snyder’s version has a long-lasting effect in terms of sales.
It’s all about the money.
Zack Snyder banged the cash registers again with the Blu-ray of his movie.
Sources revealed that the noise reverberated throughout Warner Bros.
The Snyderverse has awoken.
