Ironheart seemingly paves the way for Doctor Doom to enter the MCU.
MCU fans have long waited for Doctor Doom’s appearance. It grew ever since Avengers: Age of Ultron because of how close Sokovia is to Doctor Doom’s own country, Latveria. Basically, Sokovia is a neighboring country of Latveria. Thus, we’ve been wondering when Doctor Doom will show up.
There is no shortage of hints of how close he actually is. Although so far, there has been no actual mention of Victor Von Doom or his own country of Latveria. However, a scene in Black Widow supposedly included Doom’s country. Black Widow writer Eric Pearson admitted that he included it but it did not pass the editing board.
Ironheart Could Open Doors For Doctor Doom
Even Disney Plus’ Moon Knight hinted that Steven Grant (Oscar Isaac) somehow ended up in Latveria. the castle and the nearby town hinted at the similarities of Victor Von Doom’s own land in the comic books. Even the trailers for Moon Knight teased him. Basically, they felt like Easter eggs.
So, what’s the connection with Doctor Doom and Ironheart? Marvel Comics acknowledges Doctor Doom as one of the smartest persons in its entire universe. Only Reed Richards, also known as Mr. Fantastic, could rival Victor Von Doom’s genius. There is no reason why this would not be the same case in the MCU.
Riri Williams (Dominic Thorne), otherwise known as Ironheart, belongs to the super-genius category in the MCU. This is why we all know that she’s creating her own powered armor similar to Tony Stark’s Iron Man suit. And, she is going to face the Hood (played by Anthony Ramos). The Hood uses magic. This will be an interesting and unusual battle between science versus magic. Because of this, Williams will need to adapt her knowledge to fight off magic. Sound familiar?
Doctor Doom is not just a super-genius like Williams. In a dangerous addition, Victor Von Doom is also a master of the mystic arts. In the comics, he’s close to actually rivaling Doctor Strange himself as the Sorcerer Supreme. He is a master of both science and the mystic arts. Because of this, it makes him one of the most formidable foes in the Marvel Universe.
Ironheart Could Open Doors For Doctor Doom
MCU fans are expecting Victor Von Doom to show up sooner than later. With The Fantastic Four coming in 2024, Doom is known to be the team’s main villain. Although it’s not going to be a surprise if Marvel Studios does mix this up.
But Doctor Doom in the comics has this personal rivalry against Richards, so we are expecting that to happen in the MCU, too. Not only that, but fans are also expecting that Doctor Doom will be a major player in the MCU big movie event in Avengers: Secret Wars.
We’re not sure when Doctor Doom will show up. Still, we are now being exposed to both science and magic like in Ironheart, which in itself is not new. But it is interesting to see that these conflicting ideas are now being merged to make it more feasible to see Doctor Doom to be more of a reality within the MCU.
