Director Sam Raimi reveals a Doctor Strange Easter egg that connects John Krasinski’s Reed Richards to Doctor Doom. Raimi uncovers it in the commentary of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Of course, the Easter egg for Doctor Doom’s existence is not John Krasinski’s Reed Richards himself. Nevertheless, it proves that Doctor Doom exists in universe 838.

The Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) killed John Krasinski swiftly in the movie. Consequently, some fans felt disappointed.

They wondered what was the point. Well, Marvel Studios planted seeds again.

John Krasinski will return as the MCU’s Richards. Doctor Doom will follow.

Doctor Doom has been Fantastic Four’s main villain in the comics. He is iconic. In fact, he helped inspire Darth Vader in Star Wars.

Doctor Doom learned mystic arts through Morgan Le Fay. The possibility of connecting with someone from the past became reality through Doctor Doom’s Time Platform.

In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Richards entered the Illuminati’s hall through a similar portal. In the commentary, producer Richie Palmer explained its roots in Fantastic Four comic books. Via Inverse, he said:

The detail of the teleportation device he uses to get into the scene is something we took from the comics, that’s Doctor Doom’s Time Platform.

Richards using Doctor Doom’s Time Platform creates some questions. Does this mean they are partners in this universe? On the other hand, are they allies at least? If not, did Richards defeat Doctor Doom and take the technology for himself? On the contrary, did the Illuminati imprison him? They may have confiscated all his research. Thus, the Illuminati might’ve used his inventions.

The Time Platform became a crucial portal for various heroes and villains in the comics. Through it, Doctor Doom became more powerful. Therefore, that specific invention defines a good part of his character.

Marvel Studios continues to develop The Fantastic Four reboot. Will he have his own Time Platform? That’s highly likely. Indeed, Marvel Studios doesn’t drop an Easter egg like that and simply abandon it like yesterday’s trash.

Where will Doctor Doom make his MCU debut? Actually, grand entrance is a better way of describing it. At first, Marvel Studios targeted Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as Doctor Doom’s intro into the MCU.

But sources said that is no longer the case. Nonetheless, the Black Panther sequel could still mention him.

Marvel Studios has long-range ambitions for Doctor Doom. He’ll be among the Big Bads in Secret Wars.

There is so much going on for the Fantastic Four and potentially for Doctor Doom. Without a doubt, the elephant in the room has gotten bigger: Who’s playing him? It’s definitely not Howard Stern.
