Unfortunately, Ray Fisher won’t be back.
Certainly, I’ve covered Henry Cavill’s participation in The Flash for a while.
However, Henry Cavill’s no-show in HBO Max’s Peacemaker disappointed fans.
While Momoa’s and Miller’s cameos ignited social media, Henry Cavill’s absence troubled many.
Undoubtedly, Cavill is expensive.
After all, his price tag rose as Netflix’ The Witcher soared in popularity.
Warner Bros. isn’t going to fork it over for Peacemaker.

In fact, they couldn’t pull the trigger for 2019’s Shazam!
Nevertheless, there’s now more evidence that Henry Cavill is in The Flash.
The latest report explains that the scoop’s original source actually worked on The Flash.
Furthermore, the leaker claimed that Cavill shot “new scenes.”
In other words, this isn’t the recycled footage that the gossip train previously ran.
Likewise, Henry Cavill won’t just be on a TV set.
Indeed, the latter seems to riff on Venom: Let There Be Carnage.
It felt immediately dubious.
DC Films had no intention of competing with Spider-Man: No Way Home.
On the other hand, The Flash didn’t inspire Spider-Man: No Way Home. Marvel Studios already discussed the multiverse concept in 2016’s Doctor Strange.
Still, Spider-Man: No Way Home raised expectations on general audiences.

If The Flash can’t even afford Cavill’s Superman, it’d be a massive letdown.
