Emilia Clarke will survive her apparent demise in the third episode of Secret Invasion on Disney Plus. The following contains a potential spoiler for Secret Invasion. You’ve been warned. According to a source, Emilia Clarke becomes a Super-Skrull in the remaining episodes of Secret Invasion.

Secret Invasion’s third episode shockingly ended with Emilia Clarke’s character G’iah being gunned down by Kingsley Ben-Adir’s Gravik. Since the first episode, G’iah has been leaking Gravik’s plans to spark a third world war to her father.

After his heated confrontation with Ben Mendelsohn’s Talos, Gravik’s suspicions of his daughter’s true allegiance was confirmed. Then after a convoluted trap he put into place fully exposed her, Gravik confronted G’iah and seemingly shot her dead.

Unsurprisingly, this unexpected death has left viewers feeling both confused and disappointed. They probably forgot that deceit is a dominant theme in Secret Invasion. This MCU show plays with your head. Like WandaVision, Secret Invasion is loaded with twists and psychological trickery.

And Emilia Clarke plays a significant role in it.

Emilia Clarke is one of the most well-known and sought after actresses in the world right now. So it seems like a huge waste of talent on Marvel Studios part having her only appear in three episodes. Nonetheless, Clarke has recently teased that G’iah’s death won’t be permanent.

While reacting to the latest episode with other cast members, the actress had an interesting response to that cliffhanger. Upon seeing herself being shot down, Clarke looked just as shocked and confused as the rest of us.

Moreover, she also offers viewers a sneaky tease that G’iah may not actually be dead.

She looks at the camera, raises her eyebrow and says:

“That was quick. Maybe too quick.”

In addition, the trailers for Secret Invasion included additional footage of Emilia Clarke that hasn’t been seen yet.

It’s obvious that G’iah isn’t dead.

Until we find out for sure, fans are going to be questioning how she could have survived. Given that Skrulls are shape shifters, it’s possible that Gravik killed someone else posing as G’iah. But an insider told us that Emilia Clarke has become a Super-Skrull herself.

Unbeknownst to Gravik, G’iah stumbled upon his plans to give himself and the Skrull council new powers. These so far include:

Extremis’ heat generation and healing. Groot’s vines for stretching, Frost Beast for invisibility, and Cull Obsidian for strength. Add them up: the Human Torch; Mister Fantastic; the Invisible Woman; and the Thing. Since the Fantastic Four haven’t debuted in the MCU yet, this is how Marvel Studios worked around it.

Writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby co-created the Super-Skrull in Fantastic Four No. 18 in 1963. In the MCU, there’ll be more than one. Without a doubt, having Emilia Clarke become a Super-Skrull makes sense. After all, how can Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury fight Gravik’s Super-Skrull minus the Avengers?

Furthermore, she also discovered the machine which made this possible. In other words, she used the machine on herself off-screen, giving her these abilities. Extremis would easily heal the gunshot wound she sustained.

Viewers who’ve continued to tune in to Secret Invasion have seen this adult program unfold in a startling, gripping manner. The slow-burn and serious tone of the show recalls both Netflix’ Daredevil series and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Those who were turned off by the comedic elements of Thor: Love and Thunder and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (faithful to its comic roots) have much to chew on here.

Emilia Clarke as a Super-Skrull will probably revealed in Episode Four of Secret Invasion. Four? Sounds fantastic.
