Doctor Doom To Fight Eddie Brock In Venom No. 25

Doctor Doom will battle Eddie Brock in Venom No. 25. This a special issue adds more pages to tell this epic fight. Per Comic Book Movie, this comic hits the shops in September.

Undoubtedly, Doctor Doom and Venom are two of Marvel Comics‘ most popular and well-known supervillains. Without a doubt, Doctor Doom and Venom are both iconic.

However, Doctor Doom is comic-book royalty. Co-created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby, Doctor Doom debuted in The Fantastic Four No. 5 in 1962. Thus, that makes him among the Marvel Universe’s earliest bad guys.

Oddly, after many years since both characters initially appeared, they’ve never battled it out.

Until now.

In a few months, Brock will come to blows with Doom. In addition, their fight will take place throughout the whole Marvel Comics timeline after Brock accesses Doctor Doom’s time platform.

Their battle takes them back to various important events, including what could be the day Peter Parker becomes Spider-Man.

Thankfully, Brock has become used to traversing the timeline in this still ongoing story line. In addition, he’s never alone as he’s got his other half: Venom.

Nonetheless, Brock won’t be bonded with his traditional symbiotic suit that we all know and love. Instead, he’s donning a red symbiote which lacks Venom’s grotesque mouth and elongated tongue. Moreover, he’s also seen fighting against Doom with an extra pair of arms.

Despite this being a long overdue confrontation,Doom actually isn’t Venom’s target. Doom is a very large obstacle that’s putting him between his real enemy, Meridius. Venom No. 25 releases this September and is written by Al Ewing with cover art by Bryan Hitch.

Critics and fans praised Ewing for his work on The Immortal Hulk.

Speaking on this next exciting issue, Ewing said:

When Editor Devin Lewis pitched me the 50-page oversized issue, my first thought was packing as much bang per buck into those fifty pages as possible – and who provides more bang than the Lord of Latveria? Victor makes a great counterpoint for Eddie Brock – the King and the commoner, the polymath of a thousand schemes and the brutal bar-room brawler. And, of course, the big difference between them…Eddie’s forgiven a lot of his old enemies, but nobody carries a grudge like Doctor Doom.

There’s no way of telling who will come out on top in this battle between these two powerhouses.

Either way, this looks to be an event that could change the course of Marvel Comics history.
