In the Roster Con 2022 in Germany, Charlie Cox mentions the Deadpool movie and Daredevil in the same sentence. Naturally, those in attendance and anyone who has heard the mention had conclusions. They figured that the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen might actually be in the upcoming threequel of the Merc with a Mouth.
Cox, however, sets this straight. He is not going to be in the movie that will be starring Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.
There are talks surfacing though that it will involve another series franchise in its storyline. Specifically, Loki. Furthermore, talks indicate the involvement of Tom Hiddleston as the God of Mischief himself and Owen Wilson as Mobius. This comes with the speculation that since Deadpool utilizes a time altering device, he inadvertently calls the attention of the TVA.

But as for Daredevil, Cox reveals that Daredevil only has one project before his supersized 18-episode series. And that is the upcoming series focusing on Echo.
When TechRadar talked to Cox about his Daredevil comment in Germany, the actor readily stated:
I can tell you now, I’m definitely not in Deadpool 3.
Also, he adds:
If it ends up being true, I’ve inadvertently spoiled something. If it isn’t, fans who are excited about something I say will end up being disappointed.
Fans have long known Cox to be among the kind of actors who don’t beat around the bush. Therefore, as of the moment there is nothing to read into his comment but the fact that he isn’t in the Deadpool movie.
Given the fact that Daredevil and Deadpool have worked together in the graphic pages before, it’s still a welcome idea. It may not be for now but who knows what will happen in future projects right? Perhaps when both characters have fully settled into the MCU, writers can come up with a project that involves them.

But, if it just so happens that because of this, people in the Deadpool 3 production get ‘ideas’ then… it wouldn’t be so bad.
It would certainly be interesting to see the dynamics between the two. The wisecracking rapid healing mutant and the very good lawyer by day-vigilante by night will definitely be memorable. If anything happens, which, with Wade, undoubtedly will, Matt will be able to represent him. Can you just imagine the exchange they will have as Wade and Matt then as Deadpool and Daredevil?
It may be the very reason why Cox’s comment in the Roster Con in Germany got great traction. Fans readily love the idea in the first place.
