Andy Muschietti builds excitement for Ben Affleck‘s next appearance as Batman. The Flash director shared a storyboard sketch from the movie that shows Affleck’s Dark Knight in action.

No one knows how The Flash will turn out when it finally premieres later this year. However, our sources have continuously praised Andy Muschietti’s movie. In fact, even Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav shared his admiration. He stated:

“I saw it and loved it, it’s a wow. I can’t wait for The Flash to hit the theaters in June.”

Biased? Not really. The previous regime was responsible for The Flash. Of course, Zaslav wants The Flash to succeed. But his recommendation truly feels heartfelt. Without a doubt, The Flash needs to crush the box office. The hype continues to build. And the film’s generational Batmen fuels it.

For example, the trailer’s scene of Michael Keaton proclaiming, “I’m Batman,” sent longtime DC followers in nostalgia-fueled euphoria. It was reminiscent of “Chewie, we’re home” from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Yes, it’s fan service.

And Spider-Man: No Way Home proved how tugging at the heartstrings can lead to box-office domination. Ironically, The Flash bids farewell to the past. To Keaton, to the SnyderVerse. Yet the past is its biggest selling point.

Certainly, The Flash could propel Ezra Miller into superstardom. That is, if audiences can get over his recent legal scandals. Nonetheless, its marketing is laser focused on Keaton and Affleck.

The movie was announced just under a decade ago now and has hit various speed bumps along the way. So far The Flash has been plagued by several delays, rewrites, and casting issues. Moreover, production had seen four different directors come and go before Andy Muschietti would eventually take the helm.

From then on, everything seemed like smooth sailing. That is, until all the drama with Miller began. Miller caused quite a stir with their erratic behavior throughout the past year.

As expected this led to a vocal outcry from fans to have the actor removed from the role. Of course, this wasn’t possible since the movie had already been shot with Miller playing two versions Barry Allen. As a result, many have threatened to boycott The Flash due to their involvement. Make no mistake, production has been messy.

Nonetheless, those who’ve seen the movie have had nothing but praise to offer. In fact, with Zack Snyder sadly gone, Andy Muschietti could be the DCU’s primary creative influence going forward. In other words, he might set the dominant tone for the DCU. We hope. Gunn’s quirky style is arguably polarizing. While Gunn won’t direct everything, detractors worry about his goofy fingerprints in his DC Studios slate.

In any case, it’s sounding like Warner Bros. has a hit on their hands. With a budget of over $200 million, The Flash will need to be huge hit in order to make a profit. The trailer that debuted during the Super Bowl generated substantial positive online buzz. You can hear the cash registers already. Ka-ching.

The appearances of Affleck and Keaton’s Batmen along with Sasha Calle’s Supergirl leaped out of the screen. Each character got their time to shine in their own exhilarating action sequences.

One shot of Affleck as Batman saw him in pursuit of a speeding car using his grapple gun. Andy Muschietti recently shared the original storyboard sketch for the scene on Instagram.

It shows exactly what we saw in the trailer with an additional drawing of Batman jumping over an oncoming car. The caption Andy Muschietti posted with the picture says:

“Early storyboard I sketched for THE FLASH where our batfriend goes shpoonk!”

The Flash looks to be a stand out in the superhero film genre. Here’s hoping it lives up to the hype.
