YouTube personality Regie Collects now collects Comic Book Community Awards (CBCA). Specifically, he just won six from the CBCA for his channel Regie Collects Comics.
For quite some time now, comic-book enthusiasts know Regie Simmons as a comic-book influencer. Recently, he also published some comics under his label, Swoldier Publishing. Of course, Simmons just loves comics, and it shows. In fact, he has a ton of content featuring collecting comics. Those that cover what to get, best titles, tips and pointers. Moreover, it also includes what not to buy and other related topics.
No doubt, this year has been an exciting one for him. In the latest CBCA, Simmons received:
- Channel of the Year
- Most Entertaining Content Creator
- Community Builder Award
- People’s Choice Award
- Best Ongoing Series (Ready, Set, Go Preview Show)
- Best Unboxing Video or Series.
Other known content creators won multiple awards, too. However, there is no question that Simmons has the most awards this year. And that includes winning in many categories.

In Simmons’ words:
The acknowledgement that comes from the CBCA is unaparelled because it is all community driven. Channels are nominated by the community over a period of weeks and then voted on by the community—the very same people that are consuming content being created on the various social media platforms. Winning six awards is very humbling especially due to the quality of content being created across social media by some very talented people.
Last year, Simmons also won four awards. Those were:
- Most Entertaining Content Creator
- Comic Book Community Builder Award
- Comic Book Community Channel of the Year
- Life Time Achievement (Stan Lee Award).
It’s obvious that Simmons knows what he’s talking about. Other than him being active on YouTube and Instagram, he also shares what he knows through the books he released. Specifically, the two books titled Regie Collects’ Guide to SMART Comic Collecting, which he wrote with Doug Bratton. In just almost 100 pages per book, Simmons gave pointers to readers and would be comic book collectors.
Goes without saying that comic book collecting has amassed a good number of enthusiasts around the world. Some who have the hobby for years now have even an enterprise or profession while doing so. Very similar to what Simmons is now doing. There are pointers that Simmons have in his books to develop that collector’s way of thinking. Outstanding work. Don’t miss them.

As there are so many new comic books popping up, which one should one start collecting? New collectors’ leaf and read through what Simmons had to say so that they can begin their comic collecting hobbies. Nowadays, it’s truly for hobbyists’ advantage to have his book as their guide. One has to start somewhere, right?
Simmons’ passion for comics has recently expanded to making comics under his label Swoldier Publishing. He used to only collect or sell them before. Now, he is also publishing them. Under Swoldier Publishing, their first comic series is Isolation. It’s a series which Bratton wrote with Delia Gunderson’s art. Simmons shared:
I am extremely proud of what Doug Bratton [writer] and Delia Gunderson [artist] have created in Isolation.
We want to tell interesting stories that are complex and feature compelling characters. In addition to releasing two issues of Isolation this year, Doug and I have also released the second volume of the Guide which is designed to educate new and seasoned collectors on the hobby itself.
