As Zack Snyder’s Justice League explodes on HBO Max, WB is now considering having Justice League 2 as a theatrical release.

On February 28, I reported that HBO Max wanted Zack Snyder to produce his own DC pocket universe on the streamer.

Any potential for future theatrical releases were tossed in the dustbin.

If Justice League 2 was greenlit, it’d be for HBO Max.

However, the ecstatic social-media response toward Zack Snyder’s Justice League is opening eyes at Warner Bros.

They’re now preparing for a full-blown roar of online praise and increased subscriptions.

After all, money talks in Hollywood.

Since I initially scooped The Snyder Cut on November 2019, I have continually maintained that Warner Bros. will take a “wait-and-see” approach regarding the director’s future at DC Films.

Nevertheless, those hopes were dimmed when I heard rumors of Warner Bros. executives not being too impressed with The Snyder Cut.

This was evident in the lack of real promotion for the movie; in fact, Zack Snyder looked like a one-man publicity machine, appearing on YouTube channels to push the film.

But Zack Snyder’s Justice League has caught fire, far brighter than Warner Bros. expected.

In fact, they were skeptical of this whole project that mainly parent company AT&T wanted to push through.

Warner Bros. is a reactionary company.

Let’s not forget they rushed to make Justice League to quickly grab those Avengers billions.

They change like Seattle weather; it’s raining one minute but then sunny right after.

Realistically speaking, The Snyder Cut has to really pop this week.

Nevertheless, sources tell me that Warner Bros. has switched from mild skepticism to stunned optimism about the movie’s chances.

It’s no longer a question of “Will The Snyder Cut do well?”

Now it’s “How big will The Snyder Cut be?”

The situation is now fluid.

There is no doubt that Zack Snyder will be invited back for more DC movies.

But will Justice League 2 be only on HBO Max or in the cinemas?

Decision time is coming.
