There were reports that the Rock unfollowed Black Adam and Warner Bros Discovery Instagram accounts, presumably being upset with the DC Universe reboot. But the Rock denies that he followed either of them in the first place.
The Rock has been promoting a lot for his Black Adam film. Not only that, but he worked hard for years to bring Henry Cavill back into the limelight as Superman. A lot of people believed that Cavill is back and the SnyderVerse would continue. News also came about The Rock taking on an active role as an advisor for DC Studios before James Gunn and Peter Safran stepped in.

However, time passed and now news devastated fans as DC Studios head Gunn announced on Twitter that they’ll be making a new Superman film without Cavill. And more crushing was Cavill announcing on his personal social media page that he has hung his cape. His time as Superman is over. Many couldn’t believe it. Even people who weren’t fans of the SnyderVerse felt bad for Cavill. He was incredible in the role, but he just wasn’t given a good opportunity to be the Superman people wanted him to be. Nevertheless, he embodied being Superman, even off-screen.
Cavill’s announcement is also a blow to the Rock’s Black Adam and the future of the DC Universe he was building upon. There were plans for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Black Adam to fight Cavill’s Superman in a future installment in the DCU. But alas, the future of the SnyderVerse is now on its way to end with Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
Reports say that unfollowing the Black Adam and Warner Bros. Discovery Instagram pages were the result of The Rock’s disappointment.
I mean, can you blame him if he did? The Rock responds the way he is with his fans. He is a people person, he said so himself:
We’re listening to the fans.
But after what happened under the leadership of Gunn and Safran? I think a good population chunk of the DC fans think WBD are not listening at all.

Anyway, the news felt like the Rock was cutting his ties with Warner Bros. Discovery by unfollowing the Instagram accounts. Not long after the news broke out that he responded.

Seems weird to me that The Rock never followed the Black Adam account on Instagram considering how much he promoted the film. Unfortunately, I have no way of turning back time and reviewing his actions in it. But for now, this is as official as it gets.
We don’t know the future of the DC Universe now. Gunn has said that they are going to present it soon. So, the world has yet to hear what the future holds for the DC Universe. One question is also in our minds. Is there a future for the Rock in the new DC Universe? We will see.
