Report: Ultron Could Return In Armor Wars

Ultron could return in Armor Wars. Avengers: Age of Ultron split opinions. Some feel it is the weakest of the Avengers movies. Then again, The Avengers proved to be difficult to top.

Regardless, there’s no denying that the titular villain ranked high among the MCU’s best.

Not only was he the first villain to kill an Avenger, he was also responsible for the birth of another. In addition, his horrific actions led to major repercussions for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Because of Ultron, the government put the Sokovia Accords into place. When Thanos attacked, it divided the Avengers. Moreover, Ultron’s voice actor James Spader gave an unbelievably chilling performance.

He’s possibly one of the scariest live-action MCU villains alongside Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin and David Tennant’s Kilgrave. Without a doubt, Ultron made a lasting impact within his short time. However, recent rumors circled around the web. The metal megalomaniac could be coming back.

The villain seemingly met his demise at the hands of Vision in Age of Ultron. Nonetheless, that may not be the case. According to The Cosmic Circus, the Vision didn’t completely destroy Ultron. Furthermore, they also claim it still remains active in the MCU albeit in a dormant state.

They said:

According to one of our sources, the Ultron A.I. was not destroyed in the wake of Avengers: Age of Ultron, and remnants of the Ultron A.I. are still active but “dormant.”

How this could even be possible is anyone’s guess.

The Avengers destroyed all of Ultron’s sentries during the battle of Sokovia. They ensured he couldn’t escape. Nevertheless, the Vision could hide a fragment of the Ultron’s consciousness. After all, the two share a strong connection with Ultron being the Vision’s creator.

So, it’s possible that part of Ultron still lives within Vision and is waiting for the right time to re-emerge. Another possibility includes one of his sentries either surviving or being reactivated.

If Ultron does rear his metal head again, the most likely projects he’ll appear in will be either the upcoming Armor Wars or the recently announced VisionQuest Disney Plus series
