Warner Bros Discovery will announce Henry Cavill’s return as Superman in Man of Steel 2 according to sources. Per Deadline, Henry Cavill is expected to appear at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend. Specifically, the Man of Steel is rumored to shock Hall H this Saturday around 10:15 a.m. PST. This is during Warner Bros.’ theatrical session.
On April 11, 2021, I scooped that Henry Cavill’s Superman could cameo in Black Adam. Since then, I’ve never wavered that Cavill will return as Superman. As other media outlets raged online with gloom and doom about Cavill’s chances, sources told me to stay calm.
On July 1, The Rock teased Cavill’s appearance in Black Adam. And yet the naysayers brushed it off. They claimed that The Rock meant Superman in general.
Come on, man.

The Rock knows that any other actor besides Cavill in the Superman suit would enrage fandom. Anonymous Superman has no impact. The Rock tweeted:

This isn’t about just The Rock’s Black Adam vs. Superman. Hell, no. He meant Cavill’s Man of Steel. Anything less would be a massive letdown.
The Rock and Cavill share the same agent, Dany Garcia. She is The Rock’s ex-wife. The clues are in plain sight.
Granted, Deadline didn’t confirm if Cavill’s possible SDCC appearance is related to Black Adam. To be honest, I didn’t think Cavill would be at SDCC for a few reasons. First, I was skeptical that Warner Bros. Discovery would spoil Cavill’s post-credit sequence in Black Adam.

Secondly, Cavill will take the SDCC spotlight away from The Rock.
On the other hand, Cavill’s cameo in Black Adam generates more excitement for the movie. Undoubtedly, it’ll sell more tickets. The Rock and Warner Bros. Discovery will love the sound of falling coins. In fact, let’s cue Pink Floyd now.
In an all honesty, DC Films’ panel at SDCC didn’t seem exciting. Certainly, more footage of the Justice Society in Black Adam sounds thrilling. On the contrary, Shazam! Fury of the Gods doesn’t raise the temperature. Cavill’s Superman, though?
In contrast, Cavill will bring the house down.
