The Hulk To Fight The Abomination Once Again

This week’s season finale of She-Hulk: Attorney At Law features a long-awaited rematch between the Hulk and the Abomination. In recent years, there’s been newfound appreciation for the MCU’s second film, The Incredible Hulk.

Although better liked than director Ang Lee’s Hulk in 2003, fans largely neglect the MCU’s reboot. After all, it sadly didn’t reach Iron Man‘s critical and commercial heights earlier the same year. Since then, the Hulk went on to appear in several MCU projects. However, Marvel Studios didn’t have his solo rights. Thus, they couldn’t release a sequel.

This was down to Universal still owning them.

Nonetheless, fans kept asking for one. They want to see them duke it out again.

Many actors and characters that made their MCU debuts in The Incredible Hulk have since returned in other projects. In addition, the movie also had many iconic moments. Specifically, among them was the climactic battle between the Hulk and the Abomination. Their monstrous brawl remains one of the MCU’s most exhilarating fight scenes.

Sadly, it seemed like Marvel Studios would never realize those hopes. But when the Abomination returned in Shang-Chi and the Legend Of The Ten Rings, that changed. It raised eyebrows.  These hopes only grew following the Abomination’s return She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. With the show’s final episode looming, Marvel Studios confirmed they’ll fight once more.

A recent teaser for She-Hulk’s season finale featured a brief clip of the Hulk and Abomination in a brawl.

Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) and Emil Blonsky (Tim Roth) resolved their differences offscreen. She-Hulk established this already. Moreover, the Hulk was headed back to Sakaar. Still, many assumed the Hulk returns at the end.

Furthermore, a later episode revealed that Blonsky’s spiritual retreat seemingly cemented his rehabilitation. Therefore, why are these two powerhouses coming to blows again?

The logical explanation is that Blonsky has been playing both Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) and the legal system this whole time. This seems like the most likely scenario. His parole forbids him from turning into the Abomination. Blonsky fully transforms in the trailer. For all we know he could be part of the villainous group that’s been tormenting She-Hulk throughout the series.
