Marvel MCU Deadpool Rated R confirmed

Deadpool 3 will officially be set in the MCU and receive an R rating. The key word here is “officially” as I accurately reported all of this in October. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige just confirmed this in an interview with Collider.

Given that Disney chairman Bob Iger already stated a few years ago, after the company’s acquisition of Fox, that Deadpool would retain his raunchy, 18-and-over ways with Marvel Studios, this didn’t have to be a “scoop confirmed.”  But constant bogus click-baiting by several competing sites and outright false information distributed by Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefeld himelf kept altering the narrative.

There was no way that Feige and his bosses would cripple the cash machine that is Deadpool unfiltered. However, the most important aspect of this is the upcoming Deadpool films being set in the MCU. As I leaked before, Deadpool will be cleaned up when he guest stars in Avengers and Spider-Man movies but completely filthy when he is on his own.

Feige added that the third installment is expected to shoot in 2022.
