Robert Pattinson's Batman Could Meet New Superman

Robert Pattinson’s Batman could have his own Superman.

Warner Bros. will release two new versions of Batman and Superman; this is their effort to move on from Zack Snyder’s version of the characters.

Since that became public, fans wondered whether or not the two DC icons will ever share the big screen in a live-action film again.

Well, just like Thanos, it is inevitable that the two friends/rivals will eventually clash or team up once again in the future.

However, it won’t be Ben Affleck’s Batman or Henry Cavill’s Superman.

According to a new report, Warner Bros. and DC are planning on adding a new version of Superman to Robert Pattinson’s Batman universe.

The report said:

Our source says that they want Robert Pattinson’s universe to have his own Superman. This wouldn’t be surprising news, considering how often we’ve seen Batman and Superman face each other. However, in the wider scape of observing DC’s decisions lately, it is more surprising and interesting than it would be otherwise.

Geekosity can add that J.J. Abrams’ upcoming Man of Steel reboot will unlikely be the one to connect to Pattinson’s Batman film.

Abrams’ version is an Elseworlds project set on a different Earth.

Furthermore, the article also stated that apparently The Batman will likely take place on Earth-2 in DC’s planned cinematic multiverse.

On Earth-2 in the comics, Clark Kent is dead and the mantle of Superman was passed on to Val-Zod.

Val-Zod will not be Superman in Abrams’ version.

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Clark Kent will indeed be wearing the cape in the movie.

If Warner Bros. and DC are going to closely follow the source material then it’s possible that this Superman reboot will exist in it’s own continuity, similar to the 2019 Joker film and Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy.

They’re going to further expand the world that Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson are building into its own universe.

DC Films hopes it will bring them the new pocket cinematic universe they’ve been hoping for.
