According to a report, Robert Pattinson could play another dark superhero, specifically, Robert Pattinson is the top choice for The Crow reboot.

It’s undeniable that Robert Pattinson is the talk of the town. Certainly, The Batman exceeded expectations.

Ever since the original Crow Brandon Lee tragically died in 1993, the franchise never recovered.

In fact, Lee passed away before The Crow‘s 1994 release. Thus, he sadly never saw how successful it’d become. Despite three sequels and a TV series, filmmakers couldn’t replace Lee.

Will Robert Pattinson flip the switch?

At the moment, the world is his oyster. His agent won’t be able to book a vacation anytime soon. Robert Pattinson crushed doubts of a post-Twilight failure. The Batman obliterated that with its box-office punch. In fact, Robert Pattinson doesn’t even have to worry about doing art-house porn.

Robert Pattinson has ventured into the production side of the film industry. Such a step would give him more weight in decisions made for a project. He truly has come a long way from his wand-wielding wizarding days, let alone his “vegan” vampire era.

To his credit, Robert Pattinson took adventurous roles after Harry Potter and Twilight. Furthermore, this was years before The Batman.

Needless to say, Robert Pattinson will still be on the lookout for the next character he can breathe life into. Perhaps a character that allows for a psychological study of internal struggles would be right up his alley.

Exactly what The Crow could be for his next character consideration.

The report explains that The Crow reboot is in the early stages of development. In addition, they want Robert Pattinson in the lead role. However, they haven’t begun discussions yet.

The Crow is Eric Draven, a musician who is killed mercilessly together with his fiancé. Once resurrected, Draven becomes the Crow. He seeks revenge on the people who killed him and his fiancé. Creator James O’Barr wrote and drew the original Crow comic book in 1988.

There’s a notion that the movie will never get its reboot because it was Lee’s final film. To be compared to someone who actually gave his life for the role or the movie is something that’s very daunting for a lot of actors.

However, given the right conditions and the best script, Robert Pattinson would likely see this as a challenge. Of course, the decision is his to make. Schedules and planning aside, Robert Pattinson is in the position to choose whether or not he takes on the role.

It would be interesting though to see how he would realize his own persona of the Crow.
