The new Captain America will throw his shield in Wakanda as he will appear in the Black Panther sequel.
According to a new report, Anthony Mackie will return as Sam Wilson in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Disney Plus’ The Falcon and the Winter Soldier wowed critics and fans with its cinematic scope and emotional depth.
Moreover, it addressed racism in powerful yet subtle ways.
Certainly, Mackie’s dignified, warm performance fueled the show’s statement on race relations in America.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier gave Wilson a real reason to be Captain America; he embodied what the role meant.
Fans have wondered which theatrical film Captain America would appear in next.
Although Captain America 4 with Mackie in the lead role is in development, that’ll be years away.
Marvel Studios already established a connection between Wakanda and Wilson.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier revealed that the Wakandans created Wilson’s high-tech Captain America outfit.
New Captain America To Appear In Black Panther Sequel
The leak added that:
There is no reason Sam Wilson would not be friendly with Wakanda. If there is some issue that would require his assistance, there is no doubt he would offer his help at the drop of a hat. Perhaps that could even bring in Bucky Barnes since he has an even deeper tie to Wakanda due to his time spent rehabilitating there.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is shrouded in mystery.
After the tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman, there has been rampant speculation as to the movie’s plot.
Furthermore, nobody truly knows who the next Black Panther will be.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige did announce that T’Challa won’t be recast.
This is out of respect to Boseman’s legacy.
Script changes over the past few months have made previous rumors obsolete.
The report added that:
We were unable to discern just how prominent the role would be, so this could either mean that Mackie will be playing a full supporting role or could pop up in a cameo capacity.
