Morbius Trailer Links To Venom While MCU Future Possibly Awaits

The new Morbius trailer references Venom; however, his future could also land in the MCU.

In the trailer, Morbius (Jared Leto) shakes down a terrified thug.

“Who are you?” the terrified criminal asks him.

“We are Venom,” Morbius jokingly responds.

With that line, Morbius links itself with the Venom franchise.

However, the mysterious MCU connection materializes again.

As with the initial trailer, Michael Keaton appears as Adrian Toomes.

Keaton played Toomes, otherwise known as the Vulture, in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

As a result, fans scratched their heads.

Exactly what universe is this?

After all, Sony’s Venom films did not exist in the MCU.

Although Venom: Let There Be Carnage transported the symbiote in the MCU, the rest of the movie took place in the multiverse.

Morbius remains a mystery; its trailers drop intriguing puzzle pieces.

Nevertheless, sources reveal what his possible destination is.

On June 30, I scooped that Sony wants Morbius to share the screen with the MCU’s Blade (Mahershala Ali).

Certainly, from a financial perspective, it makes sense.

Morbius, the living vampire, fighting Blade would generate millions.

But it would require another Sony-Disney deal as with Spider-Man.

Insiders reveal that Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is interested in utilizing Morbius in the MCU.

At first, his reasons seem obvious.

Indeed, they could torch the box office.

While this may be true, both Leto and Ali are also Oscar winners.

Leto won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for 2013’s Dallas Buyers Club.

Ali, on the other hand, won two Oscars.

He nabbed Best Supporting Actor for 2017’s Moonlight and 2019’s Green Book.

Sources claim that Feige seeks to unite the two from an acting perspective alone.

Recently, I wrote that Morbius could join the MCU’s supernatural superhero team the Midnight Sons.

Thus, Morbius would hang with horror heroes such as Ghost Rider and Man-Thing.

Furthermore, there’s another thrilling aspect to this collaboration.

Specifically, Blade, being a vampire slayer, would attempt to kill Morbius.

Such a dynamic would electrify each scene they share.

In addition, with two Academy Award winners, sparks would fly.

With Venom officially headed into the MCU, Morbius is likely next.

Should that happen, blood will spill.
