Mike Colter And Krysten Ritter Tease Possible MCU Return

Mike Colter and Krysten Ritter might have teased a possible MCU return as Luke Cage and Jessica Jones on Instagram.

Charlie Cox’s return as Matt Murdock in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home left a collective gasp around the world. Cox’s follow-up appearance in She-Hulk: Attorney At Law which saw him suit up as Daredevil again left us wanting more.

Thankfully, the Man Without Fear will return again to star in his own Disney Plus series, Daredevil: Born Again. It’s not yet clear if this new series will be a loose continuation of the character’s universally acclaimed Netflix show.

Nonetheless, it’ll more than likely match the same level of quality as it’s predecessor either way. However there’s so far been no word on the other Marvel heroes who also starred in their own Netflix shows.

There’s been much speculation about who will or won’t reprise their roles in a future MCU project. Previously we’ve reported on this topic with likelihood of Krysten Ritter and Jon Bernthal returning being strong. Mike Colter and Finn Jones on the other hand seem more unlikely.

Jones more so.

Furthermore, while promoting his latest movie Plane, Colter cast doubt on the prospect of re-visiting Luke Cage. We covered this story believing he could be pulling the same stunt as Andrew Garfield.

The likelihood of this being true might have just gotten bigger though thanks to Jessica Jones star Krysten Ritter. Via her Instagram, the actress posted several stories. Some of which includes what some fans believe hints towards a future Defenders reunion.

One of the actress’s recent stories includes her and Mike Colter posing for a selfie together with the caption:

“Hey hey Power Man.”

This has unsurprisingly led to widespread speculation that the powerful pair will reunite in a future Marvel Studio’s production. The most likely candidate being Daredevil: Born Again.

Moreover, she also posted a story with Entertainment Weekly’s cover featuring The Defenders.

This cover showcased the actress alongside her superhero co-stars with her story caption this time being:

“We cute.”

This isn’t the first time that she’s teased her potential return to the Marvel Universe. In some now deleted Instagram pictures, Ritter is seen wearing a t-shirt featuring Daredevil’s classic DD insignia. This hints that she may indeed have a role in the upcoming Disney Plus series.

In addition, we previously scooped that her appearance in Daredevil: Born Again will lead into her own Disney Plus show. In recent months this scoop has gained traction on social media with even more outlet’s reporting the same.

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.
