Kirsten Dunst wants to return as Spider-Man’s Mary Jane Watson.

Although Kirsten Dunst hasn’t seen Spider-Man: No Way Home, she is more than happy to reprise her role as Watson.

Fans hold Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy in high regard and rightly so.

To this day, Spider-Man 2 is considered to be the definitive live-action adaptation.

This is due to director Raimi and its talented leading actors, Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst.

We recently saw Maguire reprise his role alongside fellow Spider-Man actors Tom Holland and Andrew Garfield.

Whereas Dunst was nominated for an SAG award for her role in The Power Of The Dog.

However, the actress revealed that she still hasn’t seen Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Kirsten Dunst admitted:

I know Tobey’s in it and it’s such a huge surprise and everyone’s freaking out. I will. I’ll eventually watch it. You know, I’ll watch it with my son, because he’s starting to get into Spider-Man stuff. There’s, like, a little-kid version of Spider-Man that he watches, so maybe he’ll watch it with me.

In addition, she also reflected on people who grew up watching Spider-Man.

She’s part of the legacy that the franchise made for itself.

Kirsten Dunst explained:

It’s such a cool legacy to be a part of, and to be the first one and be a Spider-Man fan, I feel like that’s a really special thing because these fans have lived with these movies for so long and have grown up with it…It’s nice to be excited about something. All of us are dealing with so much right now.

Furthermore, she opened up on Spider-Man’s positive impact on cinema and the world.

Kirsten Dunst said:

It’s nice to have people want to go to the movie theater and see something that really makes their heart happy. I saw a reaction video that someone sent me and I was like, ‘Oh my God!’ People really needed this right now — more than ever.

Maguire’s Peter Parker mentioned her in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

However, Watson didn’t appear in the movie.

Nevertheless, she is still hopeful to return to her role should the opportunity ever present itself.

When asked if she’d like to return to the franchise, she revealed:

Of course I would. Of course. I’ve been asked about that a few times. That’s a no-brainer. That was a huge part of my career and my life.

The Marvel multiverse now in full swing.

In other words, there’s a possibility for any character from the Marvel movies to return.
